Physical Description: Brooklyn is tall and slender at 5'8" with dishwater blonde hair and big blue eyes. Her build is athletic with nice curves, but not particularly busty or hippy. She has good muscle tone, some genetic and some from dedicated gym time, and walks with stride and confidence. She prefers the skirted variations of the uniforms but will wear whatever the occasion calls for. When not on duty, she tends towards dress and skirts in a variety of colors to match her mood or the situation.

Personality: On duty, Brooklyn is focused and disciplined, but not icy. She's not bashful, ready to engage in professional or social discourse, but isn't the type to speak just to hear herself talk. She usually has an opinion on most topics, but will only voice them if she feels it's needed or if she's asked. Though while she may keep some personal things to herself, she's always curious about what's going on with everyone, making her hungry for gossip.

Brooklyn is seldom idle. When not working she's working out, practicing her dance, or playing guitar and singing (which she's very good at), or finding drama and adventure in the holodeck. She is up for any social event, no matter how small and eager to engage with others. While she does drink, she is aware of her standing as a Starfleet officer and is careful not to get out of hand. If on leave where she can be mostly anonymous, she has been known to indulge a bit more.

Character History: Born in Lawrenceville, Kansas, Brooklyn was raised in the American heartland. Her father was a university professor and her mother was a high school teacher. Academics was front and center in her household, but excitement was not. This made her an adventurous teen who sometimes got in over her head. Though her parents were always finger waving she never really found a good reason to stop. Fortunately she survived her escapades whole and largely unscarred, but the end of high school also meant the end of clemency. It was time to set the course of her life, and almost on a whim she chose Starfleet Academy.

Starfleet represented a new phase in Brooklyn's life. It required her to be much more disciplined on her own power. The first year was tough, and her shenanigans often landed her in trouble. But with stellar grades and keen insights, her teachers and counselors were loathe to expel her. By year three she found a working discipline which accelerated her performance and kept her mostly out of trouble. In the end, she didn't make valedictorian but she did graduate near the top of her class and offered some of the best assignments available at the time.

Wanting to be on the frontier, newly minted LTJG Brooklyn Wilder chose to serve on the USS Artemis, which was going to be exploring a new quadrant.
