Physical Description: 6'6" and 200 lbs with a toned muscular body, with shoulder-length black hair kept in a braid.  Her body is orange and black-furred with green eyes though she keeps to the Caitian standard of not wearing shoes.  She often wears her uniform sleeveless, the better for her muscled arms to be able to have their full use (learned after a few too many torn uniform tops)...

Personality: M'Izel's personality is surprisingly gruff for a Caitian and prone to temper, though that has mellowed out with time.  She has a tactical mind from her interests and training as both tactical and security tracks.  Her time has also led her to be a bit of a disciplinarian, and there have been some rumors that extends to her tastes in bed...

But to her crew and friends she does have a sense of humor and enjoys both competitive games and has an artist's streak.  Ultimately she is a proud warrior, proud of both her skills and her heritage.

She does not have a current lifemate due to her position but that doesn't stop her from enjoying the company of those who catch her eye, especially when Caitian hormones get the best of her.

Character History:
M'Izel's early life was one of athletic competition.  Coming from a more jungle-based tribe, she was one of the rare Caitians interested in combat arts such as Parisses Squares.  As such she took part in a lot of competitions.  This interest in athletics and tactics led her to join the Tactical track, and she continued her competititive nature, joining a Parisees Squares team and attaining second in the Starfleet Academy Marathon in her Sophomore year and winning it her Junior year.

Her Cadet cruise would prove to be eventful, earning a fast promition; due to suddenness of the Hobus supernova, her ship the USS Okuda was involved with the defense of the Neutral Zone due to Klingon siezure of Romulan space.  From there the Okuda then was attacked by raiders on her first tour of duty where she was captured for a few days, the events of which she does not discuss.  The next few years were in defense as the Okuda was assigned to the Klingon Neutral Zone to keep watch on raiders and splinter factions.

Around 2392, due to the rough first couple of years that she had been through, M'Izel was suggested by her commanders to take place in an officer exchange with the Cardassians.  It was a fairly interesting year and a half for her, allowing her to get to know a new section of the galaxy and new cultures, including even learning some Cardassian art forms.

The next few years were of a general tone for her career, going back and forth between the tactical and security tracks as her ships were often on the defense lines keeping some member worlds from seceding or going after bandits trying to take advantage of the Borg collapse.

Which brings her finally to this new positon; where some would think someone with her personality would cause her to be frustrated with command of an exploration mission Nova class, M'Izel still sees this as a chance to prove herself worthy of a ship on the defense lines or at least to test her skills in the unknown of the Gamma Quadrant.
