Amy is a concise (-not- compact) woman with good teeth, bright eyes, slightly protruding ears, and a nose that would not shame a tapir beastman.  She stands precisely five feet five inches tall, but somehow her height is the last thing anyone notices.

Instead, she attracts such varying adjectives as "birdlike," "officious," "grandmotherly," "pugnacious," "vain," "self-effacing," "forgettable," "warm," "fearful," and "pure."  She smells like home and looks like a peaceful, sunny afternoon.
Her actual appearance-- straggling hair tied down under a kerchief, dark vest, boxlike shoes, and smooth hands-- barely registers.
