Kazimir Razvan

Name: Kazimir Razvan
Rank: Freeborn (Loyal to House Radake)
Actual Age/Apparent Age: 28
Gender: Male
Race: Human

Description: Kazimir is what one might expect of a servant of his House. In fact the man has embraced the stereotype so whole heartedly that it makes some wonder if the persona is truly the man or a sort of act put on for the benefit of his patrons

Well over a decade of demanding service has sculpted Kazimir into a large and powerfully built man. Not particularly handsome or regal, he is none the less an imposing specimen. It is even rumored that he has indulged in specially prepared alchemical concoctions to enhance his physique.

A notably large frame loaded with muscle, his neck could be compared to a bulls and his head has been shaved down to the scalp. His ears are a little misshapen from pugilistic bouts, as is his nose, and a few waxy scars dot his face and jawline.

Abilities/Skills:

Raw Physicality: Kazimir is quite obviously obsessive about his body and has spent a great deal of time building it. Ironically it is not the sort of body sculptors or artists normally seek out for their works, but one that alludes to raw muscular power, athletic ability and a hint of violence.

His presence is an unsubtle reminder that the strength of House Radake lay in temporal pursuits. In brick and mortar and in flesh and blood.

Martial Prowess: Well over a decade on the border of Radake lands helping to safeguard their holdings against hostile tribes, forays into the interiors of far off lands on slave raids and countless bouts in the pits against gladiator slaves  have helped to forge Kazimir into a formidable opponent.

Despite bloodshed and thuggery being of limited utility in the relatively safe lands of Leera, this had not dissuaded the man from building a career and a reputation based on the promise of violence and the application of force.

History:

Opportunities can be rare for those born between the power and splendor of the Dynastic Houses and the Slaves that serve them. Poverty is a spectre ever looming in the horizon, and there is little guarantee of real security, financial or otherwise for many.

The Razvan family had but one son and a brother who worked within the foundation the Whiplash estate. It was this man, Kazimir's Uncle that first arranged pay as  a simple watchman for the boy, a position that in time led to periods of employment on slave raids abroad, in the ranks of the local guard in garrison along the borderlands and eventually a position as an Overseer.

Long, violent years yielded up a man hardened against terrors from over the grasslands and gladiator slaves desperate for freedom, he has survived where many have not, although the experience has changed him into a man his close family scarcely recognizes anymore, although they still quietly take his proffered coin with whispered thanks.

Written off as simple or cruel by some, Kazimir can be more complex than many might assume, although the role and reputation he has found himself endowed with does not often reward breaking expectations. Thus far there has been little incentive to reveal his more complex thoughts, dreams and aspirations to those in his social circle.

It's entirely possible that exposure to people and traditions outside his limited experience may change the man in surprising ways, but perhaps it is just as likely that he is too far gone to suspect that there might be more out there than even his wildest dreams would suggest.

Culture: Culture within House Radake and the Whiplash estate often harkens back to a darker age. Feudal institutions, titles and punishments. Oaths and hereditary service, and the threat of naked force all seem to have a higher prevalence within Radake than some others.

Where other servants bow or curtsey on some estates, Radake servants seem more prone to kowtow or prostrate themselves out of fear or habit.

Slavery is a grim reality throughout Leera, but even within the industry here are extremes and Radake is known to ply its chattel with ruthless efficiency.

It is this sort of behavior among others that have led to a poor reputation among the more genteel and forward thinking dynastic Houses.
