Lexon Reed is a human male who has an average height and weight. He has brown hair, which is turning gray, and blue eyes. He appears to be right-handed.

Lexon grew up on Efate. His family was neither poor nor rich, but they had enough resources to be comfortable and a little more. For instance, although they couldn't afford to buy a new sailboat, they had plenty to purchase a used boat and put in the work to upgrade it as desired. The same goes for the other vehicles and tools he used. As a result, Lexon became quite skilled in mechanical and electrical tasks.

Lexon grew up enjoying the outdoors and had a group of friends who frequently engaged in activities like hunting, camping, sailing, and off-road adventures. They also enjoyed snooping around archaeological sites on Efate. One day, during one of his adventures, Lexon discovered a curious item, a small artifact, which he keeps in a souvenir box.

Lexon is exceptionally intelligent. While some people rely on their strength to handle difficult situations, Lexon relies on his intellect. He was easily accepted into the Army Academy, and his combination of outdoor skills and intelligence complemented each other while he was in the academy. He graduated with a commission and served four terms in the army. During his service, the army identified him as having superior reconnaissance skills. To further enhance his abilities, they equipped him with an Enhanced Vision Augmentation, allowing him to gather more information without being noticed, enhancing his natural skills.

It was during various reconnaissance missions that Lexon came to know Dawn Hunter. One particular mission was incredibly perilous and took place on an undisclosed planet, referred to as Charlie 4 (the actual name of the planet must be withheld due to the sensitivity of the mission). Initially, it started as a typical mission but was still dangerous. Their objective was to gather intelligence on the area and target group in preparation for a future "aggressive negotiation" effort. On the second day, their cover was compromised, and they found themselves engaged in a cat and mouse game with the target group for the next three days. Despite several close calls, their skills and intelligence enabled them to stay one step ahead of their adversaries. On the fifth day, an extraction team finally coordinated a clandestine location to pick up the two recon agents. The bond between Lexon and Dawn was forged through adversity and grew stronger, as is often the case for individuals who experience life-threatening situations together.

Lexon has been out of the military for a few years now. He has taken on various jobs that make use of his skill set, but he has yet to find a place that truly resonates with him.

To be further developed:
Some sort of tragedy involving someone who could have potentially been Lexon's wife has left him unwilling to invest in another romantic relationship.

Lex’s journey after leaving the Army and before joining the Katerina:

After Lex's time in the Army, he used his skills to make a living. He had the good fortune of having one of the early contracts with an old Army buddy, who worked for a military contractor. The task was to investigate a suspected espionage incident. Lex was able to track down the source fairly quickly. It originated from a Vilani group seeking to acquire new technology. Thanks to Lex's efforts, the technology transfer did not happen. He was paid a reasonable amount, but the far more important consequence was that he was introduced to a group of powerful and wealthy people. Over the next year or so, he took on more lucrative contracts dealing with a variety of topics, from information leaks and illegal tech transfers to client protection. He made a good living, amassing around 1MCr.

Then came the Lucas Creed contract. Lucas was the CEO of Creed Galactic Industries (CGI). Lucas received an anonymous "tip" that some group was planning to take physical action against him. He hired Lex to investigate and, if necessary, neutralize the potential incident.

Using his network of connections, Lex was able to determine that a group called "Techno Raiders" (TR for short) was behind a plot to steal CGI advanced technology and, if Lucas Creed got too close, to kidnap him as well. Lex also learned when and where the operation was to take place. It would occur at the Creed estate, where Lucas Creed had a dedicated office and lab with encrypted communication links to the main research complex. TR decided it would be easier to steal the technology from the estate rather than from the corporate site. On the day TR was supposed to strike, Lex and his team were ready. Chaos ensued, but neither the tech nor Lucas were taken. However, Sophia, Lucas Creed's teenage daughter, was kidnapped. Sophia, being a teenager, decided to be where she shouldn't have been, making her an easy target for TR. They kidnapped her and developed a plan to either hold her for ransom or sell her on the slave trade market, whichever paid more.

Once Lucas found out his daughter was missing, he tasked Lex with rescuing her and allowed Lex to name his fee. Lex was personally motivated; beyond the money, he had grown to like the Creeds. So he worked his network and soon discovered that there was a high demand for this girl, any young girl, on the slave trade market.  His sources indicated that TR was planning to go that route. Leaving the planet was unlikely due to increased security, so TR was still on the planet, and the transaction would take place locally.

Lex laid a trap. Since there was so much interest in Sophia from anonymous bidders in the trade market, Lex was able to slip in his own anonymous bid. Eventually, through ingenuity and luck, he became the highest bidder. Lex hoped that he and his team could capture the TR group alive so they could stand trial for their evil deeds. However, the transfer did not go as planned and started falling apart. One of the TR members eventually pulled a gun on Sophia, threatening to kill her. Negotiations continued until a moment when everything changed in an instant. The negotiation was taking place outdoors in the morning sun, which was bright. One of Lex's team members created a distraction, and when the hostage taker turned, he was blinded by the sun. Sophia, who was looking for an escape opportunity, took it. She broke free.  Within two seconds each of the TR members simply slumped to the ground as strategically placed snipers shot them in the head. Sophia was reunited with her family. Lex knew he could have asked for more, but he only requested 4.5MCr for himself and a healthy amount for his team.

After a few months the well known non-fiction author Gabriel Carter approached Lex about writing a book on the event. After getting Lucas to agree, the book was written. The incident was fairly well-known, so many people were interested in what happened since the news reports were short on substance. The book sold very well, and Lex earned royalties from the sales. After receiving 0.500Mcr, Lex decided to direct all future royalties to an endowment fund that would financially support organizations fighting against the trafficking of sentient life.

Lex, now that he has a secure financial future, is looking for something different.
