Appearance: There are some figures that blend into a crowded space not because they are inconspicuous, but because their particular demeanor is so integrated with the ambient that they seem to be almost like a part of the landscape. That's the impression most people have of Malachi when they see him walking the streets of Neon. Shoulder-length hair, not particularly tall and wiry build, Malachi is not an imposing figure.

Which is not to say that he is not a striking figure when the situation calls for it. Malachi is a creature of contrasts.

Usually, he is clad in worn leather trench coat and carrying minute parafernalia that might give the impression of a seller of trinkets. His hands are constantly fidgeting with something - antique coins, playing cards, whatever he manages to find nearby. His demeanor is usually of one that seems lost in his own thoughts - though when something catches his attention, he seems like a different person. When focused in something, his eyes have the intensity and glint of a crow perusing a new shiny bauble.

Most would say there is more than just that in Malachi that brings crows to mind.

Outward behavior: Malachi seems like a pragmatic guy when being sent in missions. He also appears to be a creature of changing moods - he varies from his somewhat distracted persona with his head on the clouds to an intense - almost predatory - focus when his curiosity is called to something. He seems to appreciate hearing about the past - of others, of clients, of his teammates, of the city. Sometimes, he shares a bit about his own past - a talent for magic and an eye for detail that worked well in the field of investigating, but put him in more trouble than it was worth for... and that's when the stories tend to derail in clarity.
