Campaign Intro - read me first!

This is the Atlantis Campaign, set on the Fighting Fantasy world of Titan, on the north-east of the continent of Khul. This campaign features the reappearance of an ancient threat to the whole of north-eastern Khul and the city of Arion in particular.
Can you prevent the rise of the God-King, can you save the city, can you save yourselves?
Khul needs you!

Requests to Join and posting rate:

This campaign is in ten chapters / adventures: if you want to join this campaign you have to commit to complete every adventure that you start. I'm OK with dropping off at the end of an adventure and maybe rejoining in the future, but don't drop off half way through!
I need 3 to 6 adventurers to run a chapter and new characters can join or leave the campaign between adventures.
The other commitment that I request when joining is to post in character at least five times per week.
Please note that this game is rated General (i.e. not Mature or Adult).

Ruleset:
I'm proposing to use Advanced Fighting Fantasy 2nd edition (by Arion Games) and all associated expansions officially published. The only house rule I'm proposing is a classic house rule for ranged combat: instead of rolling vs. an opponent, a successful ranged attack roll will be vs. a standard target of 15 after all modifier are applied.

Character Generation
To make things easier and smoother I'm proposing that you choose a pre-generated character from Heroes of Titan: https://preview.drivethrurpg.c...3554/heroes-of-titan (of course you can change name, backstory and other personal circumstances or description as you like).
If you prefer generating your character, just let me know: I'm open to discussion.

Heroes of Titan already taken

Nothing really forbids two players taking the same Heroes of Titan character (using different character names), but at least you know...

KHATAJ ONRI a.k.a. Terriance of Kabesh
ROR-TARUS THE FORTUNATE a.k.a. ‘Lucky’ Jack Ravencrest
DRAGAR THE SMITER a.k.a. Hawthorn
ENG-DJI STEELHEART a.k.a. Eng-Dji
QUOLION OF YORE a.k.a. Quolion of Yore

The Khulian Reckoning.

The cycles of years
During the Time of Naming, the gods appointed the years to pass in cycles of twenty, with each year represented by an animal. Each cycle is known as a "Turn" - hence, someone born over forty but under sixty years ago would talk of being born in a particular year "two Turns ago". The years pass in the following order:
  • Dragon
  • Lion
  • Snake
  • Ox
  • Tiger
  • Goat
  • Mouse
  • Deer
  • Bat
  • Wolf
  • Eagle
  • Dog
  • Spider
  • Rabbit
  • Fox
  • Crocodile
  • Owl
  • Cat
  • Shark
  • Horse

Years, months and days:
In Khul the years are currently counted "After Chaos" (A.C.) - this refers to a turbulent time few centuries ago when cataclysms triggered by bad magic and subsequent invasions of chaotic armies happened. It was called the War Against Chaos, and it left scars still very visible on the face of Khul. Before year 1 A.C. were the "Old Times" (O.T.) and they lasted millennia.

For as long as people have reckoned days and months, the countries of the mysterious continent of Khul have had twelve months, each exactly 30 days in length, and each made up of five weeks of six days apiece. The months are named as follows:
  • Snow's Cloak
  • Skies in Darkness
  • Land's Awakening
  • Heaven's Weeping
  • Birds Chatter
  • Days Lengthen
  • Corn Ripening
  • Man's Harvesting
  • Forests Golden
  • Nature's Curling
  • Sun's Hiding
  • Land's Sleeping
  • New Year - 5 days

At the end of peoples of all the countries of civilised Khul mark New Year with five days of merry-making, though it must be said that in many parts of the continent the celebrations are more sombre, as the people give thanks to their various gods and pray for a prosperous year to come.

The week in Khul has six days as follows:
  • Rageday
  • Freezeday
  • Fearday
  • Lifeday
  • Wildday
  • Spiritday

Campaign calendarisation:
This campaign starts on Freezeday, the 14th Birds Chatter 284 (Year of the Ox), that is the Holy Day of Rogaar. The time of year is pleasant, and the weather good for travel. A good time to go out and start a new adventure!
