With a shrug, Ella slipped into the shadows.  She appeared to strike once more.

12:31, Today: Ella rolled 16,8 using 1d20+5,2d4+2 ((11,4,2)).

The sword sings "A battle for justice has been joined! The tree who's silver was nearly purloined..."

Ella and K3 each kill one, Kerlhearter just couldn't get a good chop at the last wriggling bandit.

The floaters say in your minds "Oh the tree is sentient, how interesting, the sword as well! Indeed she was stabbed by one with the sword as the other two started... gathering her... children? In any case we must help such a unique creature who has been so wronged."  Their skin turns red in response.

The floaters wriggle their tentacles and one burns the last bandit with their touch, but he survives.

He retaliates hitting it with his club, cracking something inside the floater, it's skin turns black, it floats erratically listing to one side, but seems alive "I survive brothers, finish him!"

K3 will forgo his attack this round since only 1 remaining, instead he will retrieve the sword from inside the tree. As agreed upon before fighting, if he is able will attack this round with the acquired sword or let others finish the last bandit.

Kerlharter focuses on the remaining bandit.

K3 removes the sword, which sings "Unhand me you lout! Finish the job! You art no devout! To us thou shalt not rob!" The sword is struggling to get out of your hands, pulling this way and that.

Kerlharter finishes the last bandit.

The two uninjured floaters turn greenish gray.

You hear in your heads "Willow is much relieved to have the sword removed. Calm yourself sword. We will stay here with her and our injured brother.  She wishes you to take one seed each, the coins. You may plant it and it may grow into another willow."

The sword calms and says "Oh, apologies.  Her emotions to sense are only among my qualities."

The seed shall be planted in one of our bands courtyards. Will the seed require anything special to grow?

Then to the sword, I will carry you for now. You will be a treasure to my band in time another worthy one will wield you, please let me know your abilities or qualities.  I will make sure your next wielder is worthy.

Kerl, looks like the other pristine leather is yours for equal division so far.

Looking over the bandits the last to die had some darkest black suede boots remarkably free of the dirt and stench of the rest of their clothes (boots of sneaking +1)
They all had a few silver coins presumably stolen from the tree.

The sword sings "I'm the magic sword that dances and sings! I light the way in the deepest dark.  Loose me at thy enemies to dance with them, then shall I sting! I shall tell thee of hidden feelings should thou so embark!"

K3 takes a seed and one SP, marking it so he can recognize it later. I will plant the seed and coin together a gift from its mother.

Kerl, you can pick between the boots or armor. Or wait until we find more to choose from.

To the sword, what shall I call thee? How do I utilize you properly any commands for your functions?

You are able to provide light, fight by yourself, and what sense thoughts or intentions.

The silver coin/seed here have a picture of a willow tree on one side and a seed pod on the other, making them easier to differentiate from the various silver coins with long dead kings on them.

Rt 9 - door leads to a room with a door out.  There's a (normal) whip and a dagger here.

The stairs go down to a mine shaft.

Mines 2 - the mines turn into a series of twisty little passages, all alike.
Twisty little passages all alike - You find your way to a small underground town in a colossal cavern.  It's filled with shifty looking men all in black, troglodytes, hobgoblins and orcs.  They don't seem hostile.  (OOC you can hire level 1 thieves or any of the humanoids listed as henchmen for 500 gp. They also sell level 1 Fence items here, and will buy items.) There's a mine shaft out at the other end of the cavern.
