25th of Muin, Tuesdaeg, 0700hrs

The sun has yet to clear the mountains in morning daylight as the party makes their way to the church of Iomedae. It is a somber mood, as everyone realizes the sacrament very well might not work. Would they find Ola ressurected and awaiting them?

The church is dimly lit, as always. The voices in prayer can be heard from several worship alcoves. Lady Cirthana and Ola greet you before the large fountain. Ola hugs each of her friends with heartfelt gratitude.

"As you can see, the sacrament was successful." Lady Cirthana says. "Ola is returned from beyond the veil and with sacraments of healing, returned to full health."

After several moments of warm greetings and excitement Lady Cirthana continues, "Now we must speak of the sacrificial oath. You must travel north to the town of Varvellion. You must help brother Philbert of the church. I have no detail other than that. It is the Will of Iomedae you aid them any way you can."

"When do we leave, the morning? Or within a few days? I need to get some chain armor then I'll be ready. This leather got me downed 3 times against the kobolds, I almost died too. Leather is just not heavy enough."

"Anybody else need anything? Ola needs a helmet, as do I, I have a thick skull, but not thick enough for a sling bullet!"

"Lloyd, Becca? You need anything before we travel, I say we leave soonest, sometime tomorrow."

"Agreed. You need something heavier than leather being a front line fighter. We may need to hire a henchman or two as well. All fighters in my opinion."

"The markets are open now." Bec suggests. "I'd like to find a silver dagger, but I dont think I have enough gold for that."

She looks to Lady Cirthana, "How far away is Varvellion?"

"I haven't got the money for plate mail, rescuing children don't pay well in gold, only in your heart cause it were a good thing to do. Sad the doggies bout did us in didna have squat."

"A two day walk, or one day by mount." Lady Cirthana replies to Rebecca's question. "Varvellion is a small agricultural village with two main claims to local fame; Varvellion beer brewed in town and the temple shrine to Cluvia, a goddess of the harvest and moon."

Ori nods his head to the instructions, "I need to go through the low market by the armorers and get a suit of chain, t'won't leave much, but it might keep me alive!"

"You will find chain mail only in high market. " Lady Cirthana comments. "If you have no further questions, I will take my leave. I need to prepare for a communion."

"Ahh, Thank ye, fer everything." Valeros says to the priestess. He turns to his party. " Shall we go? Then we hit the road."

Ori leads the way to the high market and to the armorer's booth and purchases a set of chain mail for 40gp.

"Anyone need anything else before we strike out, Rartions, water, bedroll, blanket? Cloak? Anything? We got plenty of arrows for our archers? When we're stocked up, we pay our oath to bring back our lovely lass, Ola."

"I shall purchase a suit of mail as well. " Okini adds, following Orikson out the temple.

"Excellent lass, we can'na live without you. You are our source of healing. We got any poultices or potions of healing?" he asks.

"We have three healing droughts." Okini replies. "Its enough to maybe save someone's life."

After everything is acquired that is needed, they set off on foot on the road to their destination, Ori using the spear he had as a walking staff. "How are you all doing? Becca? Ola? Everybody okay with me? Got what you need Lloyd, Oki? We'll have to make camp just before sunset and set a fire and a watch."

The companions leave Falcon's Hollow, traveling the road north and west along the river.  Outside the riverwalk gate the road becomes Newfield road.  Past the climb up the ridge, where Benetha falls tumbles from a high promontory, the scenery becomes agricultural from the river's edge all the way to the wooded foothills of Mt. Droskar.  The fields are busy with harvest workers.  The sun makes an arc in the sky and the shadows get longer. There are travelers along the road that the companions pass with occasional words spoken.  The only news of Vervallion is that there are people disappearing and the citizens seem on edge.  Without horses, the companions must spend the night under the open sky.  Being never wise to camp right at the edge of the road, the companions find a likely spot to camp a few hundred yards toward the mountains, where it is a little more wooded and sheltered from the wind.   The sun has dipped low on the horizon, perhaps half a clock candle's time before setting.

"Probably the best spot we will find." Lloyd states. "That boulder there that leans against that tree.  Behind it, away from the wind.  A fire will be hidden from the road.  We will need to set up watches."
