The companions return to Falcon's Hollow after saving the young daughter of lady Cirthana from a sacrificial rite, where they routed an evil necromancer in mid performance of said rite. The necromancer, Zarrin, escaped with his life, but the companions discover the root of his power, an evil tome known as one of the Books of Vile Darkness. Now, they must figure out what to do with it.

27th of Muin, Thunresdaeg, 1700hrs

The companions rent rooms at The Sitting Duck for the week as they continue to rest and gather equipment for furthering their adventures. It is decided returning to the farmstead would be too dangerous for recovering the two horses that were left behind. The horses likely were not there anyway since Thorgwain left both barn double doors wide open for them to escape enclosure and not starve.

The decision to use the farmstead as a base of operations is denied when the magistrate points out they do not own the property. If by ash month or mid-Nion no one comes forward as relatives to the owners, the land will be auctioned.

Once again the companions have gathered in the tavern for an evening meal. After four days, restlessness has settled in. As they enjoy the meal and conversing on personal histories, dreams, goals, and the rumors heard around the hollow, they are interupted by an acolyte of the church.

"My apologies for interupting your meals." She says regretfully. She eyes them all with intense hazel eyes. Those eyes linger a moment longer on the young tribesman. She pushes a strand of hair behind her ear and smiles before turning to Myshra and continuing.  "Lady Myshra, your mother bids you and your companions come to the church at your earliest convenience after vespers. She has news of that which should be destroyed. Her words."

After receiving acknowledgement of the request, Augtry politely and kindly excuses herself. She looks toward Larn a last time before turning and leaving the tavern.
