The Boar's Head Tavern

Known as the gathering place in Falcarragh for adventurers, the Boars Head Inn and Tavern offers a wide variety of food and drink from different regions of the tuatha. The entrance has a small foyer, where the largest mounted boar head ever seen greets anyone entering. Passing underneath the mounted head, the building opens up to a large tavern with fourteen tables of varying sizes.

Four wooden support beams are adorned with candle sconces for night-time lighting, and three are surrounded by wood for a table. The fourth support beam is mostly bare, tacked with a few bits of parchment and leaflets to two sides. Opportunities for adventurers seeking work.

To this large beam is mounted three more stuffed boar heads, though not nearly as large as the one in the foyer and more than one tusk is adorned with a garter hanging from it.

The far back left corner has a small dais where a chair sits. Purple and red curtains hang the wall and are draped from ceiling rafter. A spot for bards to sing ballads no doubt.

To the right of that is a wooden door which leads to a kitchen and other areas, and to the right of that door are stairs leading up to a hall where patrons might find a nights rest in other parts of the building.

The menu consists of fish chowder, mutton, beef steaks, and soups of several varieties. Breads and cheese on request and all the ale, mead, and wine you wish to drink for a price.

A few hours at the Boars Head Tavern and Inn usually lightens a patrons purse by several silver.

As you enter the establishment, you see a young man, red faced with boyish features, flapp'n his gums at a dwarf who wears an apron. The dwarf looks up at your entrance and quickly shushes the man who then turns to look your way.

As it happens, you realize they are the only two people currently in the tavern at high-noon.

"Well now, Jhaelin, perhaps you're in luck. In walks one now." the dwarf says.

"Come on in and take leave of your worries friend. Sit and tell me where your tastes lay in ale or wine. Likely, I have what you need. Or if your in a famished way, perhaps you seek food?"

The Boar's Head Tavern

"Deep blessings to ya, Innkeeper," he intoned in basso profundo. "I'll have some of your darkest ale, and a troll-sized serving of meat and bread."

Karok stalked over to one of the tables along the wall, shifted his weapons-belt around and took a seat facing the door. The stint as caravan guard had paid decently enough to get him here, but the coinage was limited. Soon the dwarf would have to find another job. Or an opportunity.

The Boar's Head Tavern

Dûrwë Ondosumé walks into the common room of the Boars Head Inn and Tavern with a smile on his elven face, and stops to take a look around. He is surprised to see only a couple of people inside at this time of day, but only shrugs as he walks up to the bar and places his backpack, bow, quiver, and shield down next to himself.

The elven man is rather tall with honey-blonde shoulder-length hair and deep green eyes. He is wearing sturdy leather boots, a traveling cloak, and wearing chain mail armor under a sky-blue tabbard. His clothing and possessions look to be finely made but are well worn and used.

He looks at the dwarf and others, smiles, and says pleasantly, "Good day, gentlemen. I would like an ale and something from the kitchen please."

He looks over at the armed and armored dwarf sitting alone at the large table and nods to him in a friendly manner, "Good day dwarven sir."
