YOH: House Rules
My House Rules so far (taken from the excellent sources of dungeonautica and Risus Domnio
1. I do the highest die rather than pip total. That way even the single die cliche can beat the mighty 7 die cliche.
2. One cliche points to race, one cliche points to class, the third is your pick, the fourth can be a (1) die or 3 rerolls. And anyone can reroll.
3. When you lose a die, you gain one experience point (thank Dungeon World for that one). When you defeat an enemy the group gets the value of the enemy's highest cliche die.
You can exchange xp at 100 intervals for...
- another set 3 rerolls.
- an extra die on a cliche (Max 6)
- an brand new cliche starting at (1)
4. The winner of a round can escape automatically. The loser can run away successfully by sacrificing all but one of the dice remaining in his Cliché. If you have only 1 die remaining, you cannot run away.
5. Boxcars rule. Roll all sixes and you roll again. You get some serious cosmic power. All ones spells some kind of certain doom, perhaps lose an extra die.
