lileth looks rather appealing soaked like this, but she is very cold, as are you, so fun and games will wait.

The storm is fairly violent, but not long lasting, it is followed by a light rain that lasts the night.
Come moring the clouds are staring to break up.
The man you left in charge has become a bit of a problem, as he has  slowly started acting like a noble of the old sort nd in fact resists your assumption of command. It does not come to blows however and you spend some days undoing the mess he has made. You then spend another week reestablishing relationships among the local functionaries.

The Holdings seem to be improving, the man left to watch over the northern most Knights lands (he was killed) has done well and the people are looking healther although it will take a lot longer to bring them back to full heaalth.  They will always show signs of their maltreatment.

About two weeks later, your scouts report a large force moving your way, which turns out to be the Duke with 1500 men and a good big baggage train. It ives you perhaps two or three hours to prepare and Lileth goes into whirlwind mode, getting rooms ready, food prepared, the whole castle cleaned etc.

Mustafa will ensure security is tight, though with the illusion of openness. He is no sure that there are no individuals without hard feelings...

He knows there are some in fact, although not by name. But most of the commoners are pleased with the changes and the merchants are beginning to see things improve as well. Since this is a bubble up situation, it is only a matter of time before those further up the food chain see things improving as well.

The Duke's party is small, considering he is in a recently conquered country. He happy to see you and you spend a nice afternoonfilling in all the blanks in what has happened. The Duchess soon tires of itand makes a small eye movementtoward LiLeth, a moment later the Ldies excuse themselves.

Well, good Qestion, I was thinking of making you Viceroy of this Earl's holdings; we cn work out tax amounts and living costs, but I doubt you will suffer for coin. Would that please youand Lileth? You'd be able to raise a family here.
