Shouting out "SWOOPING STRIKE", Free Bird dives at Cicada and strikes the bug man with one of Free Birds feathery wings. It is obviously effective as the insect flies back through the air and begins to plummet to earth.

NightHawk drops into the shadow of the building. Free Bird whacks Cicada and sends the bug man reeling. Shade blips to the top of the building. Wraith zips to Cicada as he falls. Shadow Strike hits Evergreen, again. Hatter maintains his shields and looks for targets of opportunity. Laserfire blasts at something directly above him that only he can see. Snowblind fires a light beam at Wraith. As the human icicle fires the blast, his icy body splits off small portions of the beam and brilliantly lights up an area around 32m in diameter centered on Snowblind. The light beam hits Wraith, and leaves her reeling. Then the beams of Snowblind's lights strike Cicada, Free Bird, and Wraith, dazzling their eyes. Each of the three will have they're normal sight flashed for the next seven phases (minus flash defense).

It is safe to say the the heroes win. In the aftermath, only Snowblind, Mr. Magnum, Cicada, and Shadarkos prove to be human. The others are androids.
What do you do?

As the last android is smashed to pieces, the roar of several large helicopters heralds the arrival of UNTIL. Although three of the birds hover over other areas and disgorge their contents, one hovers above the house around which the battle occurred. A half dozen of the, eminently recognizable, UNTIL agents descend on dangled rope and begin securing the bad guys.
The last one out of the hovering 'copter descends with a familiar metal animal strapped on her back. Agent DeLuca approaches the heroes, and offers a ride home. "We found another android, apparently the leader of this rabble, sitting in some sort of rocket-plane in a cave. According to this robot dog, after the thing couldn't get the plane to fly it just spewed sparks and became inert."

"K9 is that you?.. what have they done to you.  cmon buddy don't do this.  Don't go to the void data dump.   Fight it K9.  your a good boy K9  or was it the plane that became inert... K9 your fine aren't you?"

Nighthawk tells DeLuca "this Shadarkos, you should bind his hands and put some sort of restrictive vision, perhaps a blindfold on him. He is a wizard, and though he needs his hands for most magics, I think he has telepathic abilities as well. But it is difficult to establish contact if you cannot see someone."

K9 wiggles the radar antennae that serve as his ears and says, "I opened the valve, Master."

"Oh. I guess he just didn't want to talk to me."

Shade makes sure he can transport most people back home fairly quickly. Granted travelling through his shadow dimension is not pleasant for beings not made of cold darkness, but it is very fast.

Approaching Agent DeLuca with one hand on the communications array in the agent's helmet, one of the UNTIL agents clears her throat and says, "pardon me, prime, sensors indicate there is no human life on this island that hasn't been accounted for. If Father Kinkaid was on the island, he's gone, now."

Nighthawk says "those of us with enhanced senses should sweep the area below. I trust that Agent DeLuca has admirable machines to do that, but we can do things that machines cannot."

Agent DeLuca begins checking off items on her tablet, and nods, "we're using a combination ground-penetrating radar and life force detector, so we saw the tunnels but haven't found any life forms beyond the people on the surface. None of the people on the surface match Father Kinkaid."
Turning to NightHawk, she says, "we'll take all the help we can get, here. The island doesn't officially belong to any sovereign nation, so there aren't any jurisdiction questions."

Wraith will take a full turn to scan the area(+2 for a 15- roll)and then draw a map in the dirt of what the tunnel complex looks like compared to the island(comic artist 11-)

"There are underground areas that where shielded from my shadow senses. I could transport getting close to those areas, but not sure if I can get inside one of them. I can take others with me..." Shade points out.

Nighthawk says "I am willing. I have senses sharper than most bloodhounds, able to track a scent on the night winds in a snowstorm. If ever a human was down there, I will know it. But the androids so far have been very close to having human scents. They were well designed."

Despite Father Kinkaid being tracked to the island, no amount of searching turns him up. In fact, except for a few humans (that were in the fighting) the island is devoid of any life other than the androids. In fact, some of the other creatures on the island (birds on tree branches, jungle hens, etc) turn out to be cameras and other sensors made to look like local flora and fauna.
The heroes would probably want to return to Police Headquarters for a de-briefing, et al.

Once the search is done, Shade repeats his offer to transport the others back to police hq. Once again, the trip is fast, but pitch dark and cold for the brief second of exposure to Shade's void. "Sorry about that. I tried to make it look a bit more cheery, like with pictures and some furniture, but everything starts to go all 'Adams Family' the longer it stays in there...and then it gets converted to shadow. Yikes."

OOC-To police station.

Manta Man tells Shade, "I'll stay a bit longer. Enforcer appears to need some help on a personal matter."
"I'll see you back at Police Headquarters as soon as I can."
