I agree: coming from the previous installments of the same adventure path is a nice to have for at least one of the companions, nothing really hard and fast.

Yes, that's how this campaign works: you apply to an adventure, go through it and, once it is over, you apply to another one, typically with different companions.

Personally, I'd prefer progressing with one adventure, putting the characters that are keen on another adventure in a single group, but we may also look for new players and characters and open two new games (but in this case I'll need to find another GM to support me, as running two adventures at the same time as I did so far for me was quite a stretch: this ruleset is quite crunchy and my brain have very serious limits...:)

The two adventures most suitable to be played next are The Resistance within and Clouded Paths, but I'm open for all options to be discussed, including considering other adventures.

1) do you have a preference between them?
2) what post rate do you prefer?

Once we have a general consensus, I can open the adventure for applications ;)

If we reach at least 4 character, we can play this adventure, if we go beyond 6, I need to find another GM to run another adventure! :)

Yeah, related parties is right.  I was working the polls on election day.  That was a pretty busy couple of days setting up for that.  Now that it's over I can get on with what I want to do.  Oh, no!  But then my mother goes in for minor surgery the day after the election, and I'm stuck having to take care of her.  Luckily it turned out to be more minor than the doctor expected.  So she's not leaning on me any more than usual.
