I'm really busy at the moment. Been moving home and lots of other stuff. I am expecting to be without internet from Sunday to Tuesday, then after that not sure when I will set up my new office so posting may be delayed at times.

It is unfortunate and very uncommon that somebody misses out an adventure this way, but not entirely impossible, as you can see.
I'm sure that, working the the GM of the adventure you want to join, you will find a suitable way to play in it.

I understand that it's pretty warm, this time of the year.

It's too warm. I often don't even need a sheet when I go to bed now. I don't have A/C in my apartment, but putting a fan a foot away from me near the edge of the bed does the trick.

Head in the Clouds is approaching the final chase (but it's a three-posts-a-week adventure), while A Cularin presence needs a little bit more (but it's a one-post-a-day adventure).
It shouldn't take much if we have a good articipation.

Head in the Clouds adventure is now in the wrap up phase and this will release a few characters for new adventures.
As A Cularin presence is getting closer to its conclusion, I think it makes sense waiting for that and allowing (the survivors) of the two groups to merge in a new group.
The two obvious options for follow up adventures are The resistance within and Clouded path (see more info at the end of this thread: link to a message in this game), so maybe you want to discuss the issue and the post rate you would be able to stick to (it was different in the two games mentioned above).
This time I won't run two adventures at the same time, as this was a bit of a stretch for me recently. However, if we have enough applicants, we can look for another GM to join us ;)

If you want to apply for one adventure, remember that you will have to repeat formally and explicitly, your commitments to stick to the agreed post rate and to stay with the adventure you apply for until its end... and please take seriously these commitments! If you can't commit, better you leave the adventure open for other, committed people to join!

Well it's been almost six months and there still hasn't been any announcement of an opening or a separate game with a slower post rate, and yet I'm still here, you can consider me well and truly ****ed

I don't know what letters are hidden under the asterisks and this is not a rated game, but I think you have quite a few good reasons on your side.

The polite thing to do would have been to remove me once you both made the conscious decision that you would not make a game to accommodate slower post rates.

I don't think that is quite accurate; there is a slower game going on. I think you must have just missed getting in on it. I know it is totally a GM call, but it seems to me that the game has not advanced so far, or in such a way, that another player couldn't be added to it... but that would be entirely up to Cosmic, and not me.
