Is there any particular advantage involved in climbing the social ladder?

So I would want to spend one tenday period in training my new pup. No point taking a brand new one out - it would get trampled and killed, and/or I'd have to carry it everywhere.

So yeah, Thraka wants to hold back at least one tenday. If that means he misses out on ptB of the Redwood adventure because the others want to crack on then so be it.


Can I also train at the same time?

There are some advantages when doing a bit all social actions (that are important for information gathering, bargaining, con...), but, above all, it is critical to get into certain social circles (such as nobility, for example).

You can train at the same time your pup grows up, sure.
I think that most of your colleagues want to spend some XPs to improve their characteristics as well.

Any other novices want in on Lost Hope or Exile?

Hello,
in the adventure The Inn between the Worlds we have three characters, Galendra, Mavro, Badwin deLongar, all of them coming from a different world from the world where Blackmoor is.
The problem is that the players of Galendra (more a warrior type) and Mavro (more a rogue type) have not been posting for a long time and now I don't think they will ever post again.
Is there anybody willing to pick these characters up?
In alternative you could prepare new characters (from a different world), but I think that, for game continuity, it would be better if somebody takes the mantle of Galendra and Mavro.

I'd like to join Redwood pt II, but I'd also like to have a tenday for basic training of my pup. If that means I skip Redwood pt II then so be it :)

I think that it makes sense the group takes one or two tendays to train and let the pups grow up, but let's see what your companions say.

You can use the experience points you got from your previous adventure to improve your character. Every improvement (training) requires at least a tenday.

We started playing this campaign exactly one year ago (and it was meant to be a quick, one-off game)!

On this occasion, Chimerae Hobby Group published for free download the Blackmoor Living World campaign guide http://www.chimerae.it/download/CHBLW0en.zip and The Shard of Anathema an introductory adventure http://www.chimerae.it/download/CHBLWN1en.zip
As you can see, the campaign guide takes a lot from the experience of this game and, in practice, you can use it as our ruleset, with the minor detail that we started playing on the year 1030 and not on the 1035 as proposed in the pubication...
