make a dex roll, base 5 seconds, reduce by margin of victory/add margin of failure, crit failure drop key, dex to avoid falling prone in fountain.  crit success you do not get wrt. still have key in hand, do it in 1 second.

Melchizedek is even more uncoordinated than usual...taking 8 seconds to open the lock, before racing to catch up with the others.

in the meanwhile,  the tortoise and hair have moved some distance, with the others i. tow; Urrun was the last one to go before Mel.

Basic Move 6, Light Encumbrance.

OOC:  Okay, so that's Move 4*.  She'll catch up to you in a few seconds (technically 2 if you had only 1 second head start).  You can make an Extra Effort attempt to speed up, spend 1 FP and roll versus your Will (or Will based Run skill if it's better), you gain MoSx5% increase in Move (minimum 5%)... so pray you succeed by 7 or more so you have an end Move of 6 (an MoS of 4 will give you Move 5 after Encumbrance, which can buy you some extra time to catch up with Urrun and Stenet).

*Yeah, you're at that annoying Base Move where you lose 2 Move to Light Encumbrance.

GM:  How far down the path are Urrun, Stenet, and Hograth?  I expect we're a bit strung out in a line?

the stone strikes the animated statue in the nose, bending it slightly and sending out a resounding GONG!
