the Tortoise had already passed through the hedge you were cutting through (where the well was) and had crossed the next 2yd path into the small er r hole. you might not get ahead of them, but you can surely snatch up the tortoise by their hind legs...

OOC: I believe smaller sm is a bonus to grapple where normally it is a penalty to strike.

OOC:  you'd think as much as I grapple with Jednesa I'd remember that.  So as long as the Hare is larger than an atom, and it doesn't Dodge, it's grabbed.
