The Beast of Veroigne
When Balir catches sight of the creature, it's eyes flick open. He pauses for a moment, assessing the creature.
[Private to GM: Rolled perception. Made it by 3. If the thing so much as twitches, indicating that it has spotted them, Balir will charge. He's overconfident, and wants to protect his companions. Plus, the creature is undoubtedly good for fame, and it's scales would bring a handsome price. He's greedy. And, I think "never backs down from a challenge" plays at least a part. He has to show the foul elf he's better.
14:36, Today: Secret Roll: Balir Ironhide rolled 9 using 3d6. Balir PER 12.
I don't think he's dumb enough to go toe to toe with this thing. Even dwarven conceit has it's limits. Probably out in front, close enough to get it's attention, and then all out defense to keep it occupied. ]
