Done for the night.  Will get to Tandro/Charan, Jonathan/Tara and the Morrow's Hold crew tomorrow.  Sorry Charan/Hamble, I think you're the only player to not get at least one post to respond to.

D&D Basic Rules are out

For anyone who's curious, the D&D Basic Rules are out. It's a complete D&D game being released for free. Pretty stikin' awesome.

Nice.  Thanks.  I had been receiving the playtest stuff, but I rarely read it.  This should be a fun read.

*looks it over*

I'll admit, it looks like a pretty nice refit of 3.5. I'll have to see the full set of rules to really make a call, but until then my interest is piqued!

Re: D&D Basic Rules are out

I helped with the playtest when they were doing it. I like the feel of it, it's reminiscent of 1st ed, but without the level caps. I like it personally.

Posting Schedule - Week of July 6, 2014

  • Sunday, July 6th: by 10:00 pm EDT - Done already
  • Monday, July 7th:  by 9:30 pm EDT
  • Tuesday, July 8th:  NO PLANNED POSTING  -- if I post anything, it will be a bonus.
  • Wednesday, July 9th:  by 9:30 pm EDT
  • Thursday, July 10th: by 9:30 pm EDT
  • Friday, July 10th: by 9:30 pm EDT.
  • Saturday, July 11th:  NO PLANNED POSTING

As always, times stated are U.S. Eastern Daylight (New York/Philadelphia/Washington, D.C./Miami)

As per past practice, those threads that are (a) ready for GM input but (b) don't receive it on any given day are given top priority the next day.

Note -- there are a few PMs that I have to respond to as of 10:00 pm EDT on July 6th.  I haven't forgotten you, I just wanted to get to the IC threads first tonight.

Participation requirements are back in effect starting tomorrow -- in other words, Monday, July 7th will be treated as "last date player X posted in-character" for the two-week countdown for moving to lurker status (or one-week to proceed with character generation, or be removed, for anyone undergoing that process).  (I hope that makes sense -- it's 10:06 pm and I have to get the kids to brush their teeth, so I'm going with it ...)

Hmm.. A baseball sized snowball with a snow to ice ratio of 60 to 40, packed tight.

So, a chunk of ice about the size of a pretty large jawbreaker.

Re: Posting Schedule - Week of July 6, 2014

I'd say it does non-lethal damage.
Or cold damage, if it's really cold.
