So, I took matthewfenn's alphabetical listing sample and cross-referenced it with the tags in the portrait gallery to see if there were any they'd ID'd that we didn't have in our listing here. Here's what I came up with:

fmb311 = Amy Acker  (Though I'd love to see a source photo on that one)

fmb532 = Amy Jo Johnson

fmc109 = Amy Lee

ffs167, fmc345 = Angelina Jolie


For the most part, we're way ahead of them when it comes to putting names to faces. I don't know how they're coming up with those identifications, but I doubt we'll be obsolete in here any time soon.

I can attest to that. My laptop is from about 6 years ago. Other than that I use a G3 phone. That post has been a pain to load. But if confined to a specific thread that shouldn't be an issue.

I'll need to put some more time into some searches. I was doing well for a little while there. Just so many things going on right now...

I keep telling myself that one of these days I'm just going to block out a few hours and start at the end of the lists and work backwards and see how many I can ID. Since they keep adding new portraits while we're still trying to ID the old ones.

It's a screenshot from the TV show "Angel". While I didn't find that exact screenshot, I did find several others that look like they're from the same or similar scenes.

Edit: Found the actual screenshot. Do a Google Image search for "Angel Winifred book" and it's the 5th image.

There was a time when I thought they were gonna make us obsolete, that's part of why I stopped updating so much here for a little bit, I figured once they caught up, we wouldn't need to keep this going so much. Apparently I was wrong lol, after seeing some of the progress made in the tags and people continuing to send more people our way for help, I realized that we're still just as needed and therefore I better get these lists updated :)

I'm not sure what you mean by method. I can tell you that it helps a lot if you include a link to the original photo, or a picture that is pretty close, so we can verify it. We actually double check every picture ID ourselves because we've had a few people misidentify some. Also, be warned that you can find pictures on the internet that are labeled as the wrong celebrity.

The lists are caught up through Post #264. I'll start on Callen's #265 tomorrow.

Hello, I'm new as well, but will try to help as much as I can :-)

I have 2 more, but I'm not 100% convinced on them. So will just mention and you can decide... I haven't found any picture to prove them and I'm only reasonable sure so handle them with a pinch of salt
mfr371 looks a lot like Richard Hammond (tv presenter)
mfr389 looks like Stanley Tucci (actor)

I've seen we haven't had any male monster before...

I have added in the IDs up to Msg #266. I'm not sufficiently convinced that fmb623 is Emma Roberts, so that one wasn't added. I couldn't find the source picture and all the places where she was blond, her face didn't seem that thin. If you can come up with a source, I can get it added in.

I'm also not sure I agree with fmb636 = Christine Hendricks. Her hair is parted on the wrong side, which could mean a flipped picture (and that would potentially make her look unlike herself), but I didn't see anything that looked right for that.

fmb636 is definitely a flipped photo of Christina Hendricks. Behind her is the backdrop for Mad Men at an awards show in 2008. Here's the photo correctly oriented, and there are many links for this photo and photos from the same appearance online.

I have got to stop using bing. But I like the points. Anyway, thank you for using a better search engine than me. I'll add those later.

My computer has broken. I have a backup (my old netbook), but it's old enough to still run on xp,so we'll see how much work I can get done on the thing. I will definitely not be adding entries to the lists from my phone and Kindle. So if the backup can't hack it, the lists may have to wait for approximately 2 weeks for me to get my computer back.

If you need help, I'd be willing to be a temporary gm until you get your computer back.
