(Game idea by Heath)

This is a simpler version of the cliffhanger game I started previously.  It is called the "So-But Game."

One poster states a fact, and the next one states what goes wrong, and the next one states "so..." in response, like this:

P1: A girl wanted a necklace...
P2: ...but she didn't have any money...
P3: ...so she got a job in a factory...
P4: ...but was fired before she got the money...
P5: ...so she ended up on the street as a prostitute...
P6: ...but she fell in love with her client...
P7: ...so she married him...
P8: ...but he was too poor to buy the necklace...
P9: ...so she cut off her hair to sell it...
P10: ...but it too full of lice to be sold...

And on and on like this.  As you can see, you can revert back to the original premise or just keep in going responding only to the previous post.  After awhile, a poster can start a new but-so game with a new premise/character.

but he was too stupid to find one..

So he asked a snake for help.

but the snake wanted to eat the owl.

So they fought to the death

but death wasn't the end of their fighting..

So they kept fighting.

But a psychopomp intervened!
