Re: Time Waster Theatre and Site Seeing

This already IS for karaoke; we just opened up the topic a bit wider so that you can post other things too.

Re: Time Waster Theatre and Site Seeing

To answer you question Athena, basically you just "get up on stage" and post the lyrics to a song that you're "singing". You can ham it up or whatever with a bit of roleplay, or just sing it straight, whatever floats your boat.

Re: Time Waster Theatre and Site Seeing

All our times have come
Here but now they're gone
Seasons don't fear the reaper
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain
We can be like they are

Come on baby... Don't fear the Reaper
Baby take my hand... Don't fear the Reaper
We'll be able to fly... Don't fear the Reaper
Baby I'm your man...

Valentine is done
Here but now they're gone
Romeo and Juliet
Are together in eternity...
Romeo and Juliet

40,000 men and women everyday... Like Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday... Redefine happiness
Another 40,000 coming everyday...We can be like they are

Come on baby... Don't fear the Reaper
Baby take my hand... Don't fear the Reaper
We'll be able to fly... Don't fear the Reaper
Baby I'm your man...

Love of two is one
Here but now they're gone
Came the last night of sadness
And it was clear we couldn't go on
The door was open and the wind appeared
The candles blew and then disappeared
The curtains flew and then he appeared
Saying don't be afraid

Come on baby... And we had no fear
And she ran to him... Then they started to fly
We looked backward and said goodbye
We had become like they are
She had taken his hand
We had become like they are

Come on baby...don't fear the reaper

I find karaoke difficult because I do not listen to the popular songs.

Sing the unpopular ones.  To heck with them if they don't play along.

Re: Time Waster Theatre and Site Seeing

If I karaoke at all, I end up singing songs from social events of long ago.  Like, "Bye Bye Bye" from NSync.

Find a message board based word and trivia game with some light role-playing?

Re: Time Waster Theatre and Site Seeing

Birdie clears her throat, and steps nervously onto the stage. Picking up the microphone, she tentatively taps on it, making sure it works, and then clears her throat. "I'd like to dedicate this song to my dad." She points to offstage, and the music begins.

Badum bum bum bum

"I love, I love, I love my calender girl
Yeah, sweet calender girl
I love, I love, I love my calender girl
Each and every day of the year

January, You start the year off fine
February, You're my little valentine
March, I'm gonna march you down the aisle
April, You're the Easter Bunny when you smile

Yeah, yeah, my heart's in a whirl
I love, I love, I love my little calender girl
Every day every day, every day every day of the year
Every day of the year

May, Maybe if I ask your dad and mom
June, They'll let me take you to the Junior Prom
July, Like a firecracker all aglow
August, When you're on the beach you steal the show

Yeah, yeah, my heart's in a whirl
I love, I love, I love my little calender girl
Every day every day, every day every day of the year
Every day of the year

September, Light the candles at your Sweet Sixteen
October, Romeo and Juliet on Halloween
November, I'll give thanks that you belong to me
December, You're the present 'neath my Christmas tree

Yeah, yeah, my heart's in a whirl
I love, I love, I love my little calender girl
Every day every day, every day every day of the year"

The music dies out, and, with a bow, Birdie exits stage right.

LuLu stares in wonder as she has only just recently realized that Birdie is female, and feels extremely bad for having thought otherwise for quite awhile

Coming down off the stage, Birdie reassures LuLu that while she is female everywhere else, she enjoys playing both genders and plays a guy in the dungeoneering thread.

Lulu nods, then goes upstage and begins to juggle, first with teddy bears, and then with knives, and when she was done she put her things back in her grey messenger bag and bowed, It was odd that she had those things randomly on hand-- Also odd that those huge teddy bears had no problem easily slipping into her medium sized bag
