INTRO
Adriana Jade formed the adventuring company known as the Jade Archaeological, Geographic and Submarine Society. Although the avowed purpose was to find adventure and treasure, there was always an underlying sense of mystery about it. No one is quite sure when it was started, though tales variously claim 10, 20 and 50 years ago. It's only been officially recognized by the Court of Absalom for the past 3 years. It's anyone's guess what its status is in other countries, but it is known to have 'branch' offices in most major cities.
In any case, it does two things quite well. It gathers information from adventurers, bards and sages--from books, relics, rumors, scrolls, songs and tall tales. Then it sends out expeditions to explore and investigate that information. Most of the time it fills the expeditions with members and Jade Agents, but it also hires freelancers to pursue leads that it simply doesn't have the manpower to do.
You are currently in the town of Diobel, on the island of Kortos, in the city-state nation of Absalom. Diobel represents the underside of Absalom... at least, that's what the citizens of Diobel think. Not that there isn't something similar within the confines of the city of Absalom, but somehow it all seems to be shinier than it should.
Whether the JAGSS office in Diobel is here because of the somewhat lax law enforcement or because that same lack of law promotes information gathering is hard to say. It's probably a bit of both.
You are a Fairy living in Pixie Hollow that connects to Neverland via a Rainbow Bridge. All Pixie Hollow Fairies have special talents, such as being a Frost Fairy or a Summer Fairy or a Green Fairy. And, of course, they can fling around Fairy Dust with the best of them!
Come rescue the kidnapped Frog Prince! Stop the destruction of Neverland! Explore the... well, that would be telling, now, wouldn't it?
