Adrian Spencer is a bright, creative, self-sufficient, loyal young officer. The second son of well-connected wealthy shipping magnet Ashcroft Spencer; at just 22 years old, he is young for a senior lieutenant, but he has seen some action and “things” happen at sea and in battle … of which he has seen plenty of both.

He is a decent sort, kind and concerned about others, self-confident, with a ready smile and a free laugh. He stands 5 foot 8 inches tall and is slim of build, with steel grey eyes, fair skin, and light brown hair tied with a ribbon at the back of his pressed collar, all concealed under a large flat black feathered hat. Wearing the new naval dress consisting of a dark blue silver buttoned long coat over white trousers with a florished neck cloth and knee length black leather boots; the same uniform that the fashion conscious are now beginning to wear. He looks quite the figure, with his sabre hanging free from his belt.

Thus, at first glance he looks like a young man who is ready for action but willing to take the time to make the proper impression.
