Anything that you want The Watcher to know about your character, please copy it over to your character creation thread, rather than relying upon him to track down info in any other public or private thread.  He has taken on a populous game, so the easier we can make it for him, the sooner we can get up and running.  Many thanks. :)

A shadowy organization operating out of Europe has decided mend its ways and to atone for past misdeeds. In order to redeem itself and the misguided man that once represented it the organization chose the best and brightest from their ranks to go to the US to become a true superhero and to return one day to take her place as the rightful leader of the next generation.

It's all true ... well, at least from a certain point of view ...



In fact, the V-Battalion doesn't have the slightest idea that Victoria Marie, an orphan adopted into the organization to honor her mother's past service, has decided, entirely on her own, to redeem the tarnished name of Citizen V after the recent death of Baron Helmut Zemo. Aided only by her godmother Elizabeth Barstow she has raided several caches containing equipment meant for the current Citizen V, John Watkins III., and absconded to the US.

For yet undisclosed reasons she also stole Jim Hammond's cat.

Elizabeth Barstow, once upon a time the Silver Scorpion and honorary member of the Invaders, has contacted Steve Rogers and arranged for Captain Amercia to sponsor Victoria at the upcoming event. However, she didn't realize that Steve Rogers has passed the shield on to another since and thus Victoria will now have to deal with James Buchanan Barnes - the former Winter Soldier being far less likely to take lip from a 16-year-old teenager.

Does Victoria have a superhero name, or is Victoria also her superhero name?  :)

No, the "girl with no surname" will go by her appropriated alias Citizen V, even though the real Citizen V is still out there. (But then, he isn't really much of a super-hero.)

Also, another Scorpion? Or is that one entirely unrelated to all the other Scorpions running around?

Oh, and what happened to Steve Rogers? I don't think anyone else mentioned him directly by name before, so I guess his starting situation in this universe is up to you.

I initially considered it, but I don't think it would be a good fit. Citizen V (the real one) is definitely less of a traditional superhero and more of an operative enforcing the plans of the V-Battalion. The V-Battalion, well, they are the bogeyman SHIELD checks under the bed for.



Utterly unrelated, but Elizabeth Barstow was the first Scorpion ever. (Debuting in April 1941, she was probably even Marvel's first female costumed superhero.) She relinquished the handle 75 years ago after the War, though.



I just liked the idea of Victoria expecting a mild and toothless fossil and getting the former Winter Soldier instead, who is of course anything but. So I adopted an old story arc of Cap and imagined the super soldier serum burning itself out of Steve's system due too many years of extreme activity, letting old age catch up with him. In this version Rogers finds the recently revealed and restored Barnes and convinces him to become the new Captain America (under joint supervision of Steve and SHIELD).

Thank you for making a character I actually had to research.  I love learning things about the Marvel Universe.  I'm looking forward to seeing Citizen V in play.  You don't need to do anything else for now. :-)
