No rush. I’ve got a busy week ahead and have activities with the kiddos over the weekend too. Probably won’t get to post the Matchsticks scene until Sunday.

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

With this bar Matchsticks in downtown Oakland, does its Matrix profile give any indication as to the level of security present and what kind of rep it has? Are we looking at some kind of dive bar where anything goes or are we going to be scanned for weapons upon entry and have to surrender them or something in-between?

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

What is going on with Knight Errant and their PR nosedive?  What’s causing the animosity with the Imperial Army?  Is the security deal with the CFS government falling apart?

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

@Hellfire: just a quick answer on the payout. I’ll build on your question to Pearlman once others post up.

On payouts, I consider the following:
(1) Base pay - usually no less that your Rep x 1000
(2) Lifestyle - if you can’t pay off your bills with a single run, why bother being a criminal?
(3) Legality - risking arrest and jail time comes at premium cost
(4) Threat - dodging bullets should be expected, but it shouldn’t come cheap
(5) Duration - usually broken down by day, you need to get paid for preparation and time on task
(6) Second Chances - taking advantage of a fleeting opportunity comes at premium cost
(7) Weirdness - dodging bullets should be expected, but tangling with blood mages and vampires will cost Mr J a bit extra

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

Mamma always said "when negotiating start high." lol just kidding. 4k each is pretty standard for a two day run and Hellfire would probably take it barring Pearlman doesn't tell him the pixie is a bug shaman or the Yak have a bounty or something. But if I can squeeze out a couple extra yen then wiz.  :)

Pocsec looks great. Thanks for laying out the options. I will take some time going over everything and see what will help out the team.

If you want to “multi class” I can add other archetype moves to your PocSec, but there are some good ones in Rigger moves that I think you will be interested in.

Please welcome Splinter to the game!

Trying something new and adding a decker to the mix... I think we are probably going to end up running a one-on-one or maybe a smaller group of online characters in a separate but complimentary thread alongside the meat world runner team... let's see where it goes.

Mr. Johnson - my apologies for my lack of posting. Work has been manic with relocating too working from home for the foreseeable future but I'm now getting back up to speed and am catching up with this game.

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

Mr. Johnson:
Debts and Favours

In character you can trade off debts and favours for additional XP.

For example: if Kord gives Hellfire the two microskimmers he just got from GEI:
- Kord takes +1 XP immediately
- Hellfire owes Kord a Debt/Favour

When Hellfire eventually pays off the debt, both take another +1 XP.

Hellfire - do you want to do this and have Kord obtain two microskimmers for you to use in return for a favour. The favour element, in my mind, is because Kord can arrange for Hellfire to keep them.

What do you think? It's quite a nice way to build a link between our characters.

Yeah sure that sounds like fun. Make life a little bit interesting to be in debt to someone who works for a corp. Who knows when it will come back to bite me in the ass?  At the end of the day it is win win.

Superb - not sure how long Kord is going to be working for a Corp though.....

He's a Merc currently and won't take kindly to being called a Corp, even though that's what he effectively is at present!

@all- Question does anyone have any experience with Fantasy Grounds? it is currently on sale in steam for $10 for the base game and $80 for the Ultimate.

I am having a hard time trying to decide if I want to shell out for the ultimate, buy just the base or skip it all together. I have Table Top Simulator and I love it. My main concern is will I get my money worth out of Fantasy ground.

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

I asked a friend of mine about it.

Apparently if everyone I'd present for a session, it works really well. But it is not designed to mimic concepts like play by post. You can't just "leave it running" and come back to it a few times a day, so to speak.

That was my understanding at least.

Several friends of mine (but not me yet) have been investing in the $10 version to try to keep gaming while isolating. A couple of them rate it higher than Roll20, but I don't know either of them enough to say which is better.

I don't have experience with either Fantasy Grounds or Table Top simulator... feel free to let me know how it goes if you get Fantasy Grounds.  What are you using Table Top Simulator for?
