Re: OOC Idle Chatter

My frequency is limited to 1-2 times a week. As a general rule, when you aren’t waiting for me to resolve actions, feel free to post.

More specifically, I’m rounding out posts for Grendel and Laurie then will get into Acme & Hellfire.

No problem, good to know how things are planned so I don't get needlessly antsy. :)

@Acme, I am good to banter back and forth. It you want to kill some time with a little bit of two buds talking fluff.

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

Reading Grendel's thread- those guys are probably lucky they're a ways away from Shasta.. there's a certain Orange Queen who may not like the random blasting into the rock.. :}

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

I had never heard of the Orange Queen, glad you mentioned it!

Going to have to give some thought as to how such a figure might be seen by Grendel and his group.

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

Ah, great point.

She may not consider them "on the same team" at all, but just more squatters on what should be pristine wilderness.

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

The Orange Queen was the online handle that Hestaby used. IIRC Hestaby generally favored all the nomad groups in NorCal, using a lot of them as ways of keeping track on things like Tir infiltration and the water wars.

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

Description is up, but I think Grendel is going to have to roll without a portrait.

Like so many things in his life, I can't find one that fits him. So he is just going to have to do without.

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

Heh, good article.

I know a guy that was involved in corporate espionage in the petroleum industry during the eighties and nineties.

It's a thing. A lot of guns for hire our there, especially Americans, after all the fighting over the last nineteen years.

Plenty of people taking good Government training into the private sector. One way or another.

@Grendel Good on all the detail in your personal history / timeline.  I've added to your PocSec thread (which you should be able to see now, yeah?)

@Group PoscSec will come for each of you as well with character stats, details, Condition and XP tracks.  I'll amend as needed while we flesh out details and play through the prelude.  You should only be able to see you own.

Sounds like a plan.  Just a heads up, I may be a bit slow to post some times.  I have a three-month old so sometimes new parent brain makes it foggy either to find the time or the proper brain cells to put in some quality replies as this game deserves.

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

So I worked a 07:00HRS to 19:00HRS today. The day started well with only a few minor annoyances. Until around 16:00HRS when I was tasked with working close protection for 4 of the real housewives of New Jersey. (Semi-Reality T.V. Show) this led me to be engulfed in one of the most colossal shit shows I have ever had the misfortune of attending with highlights such as "I am deathly afraid of elevators what do you mean I have to escort her to the penthouse to touch up her eyeliner?" And "Well sir society has rules we live by and it is common practice to wait in line for your turn, I understand you paid $600 for a meet and greet but unfortunately so did the other 419 people in the event." Or "No you can't drink here, Ontario has shit liquor laws." And after everything, shit was still hitting the fan and I just had to leave at 19:30hrs

Everyone has a bad day

I hear you, we've a four month old. It's better than the horror stories I heard from friends, but still, sleep is a real luxury.

Well there's your problem, heh. I've never worked exec protec stuff, but I've done dig pro. At least it sounds like you were not in danger of falling asleep on your feet.

Hopefully the next one goes better.

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

I agree, sleeping on duty is not the issue, 300 self entitled 40 year old women. That's too much to handle.

Sadly, this is my life. I work in a high tourism area that always pulls "big" acts to draw the money in. Two months ago it was the sopranos

Ours hasn't been a horror show, but we're not sure if he's getting colicky, sick, or just having a bad week.

Re: OOC Idle Chatter

I feel your pain and can honestly say I don't miss those days. My kids are 9 and 5. The problems that arise are just as difficult as when they were months old, but on the plus side I get to sleep through the night now. :-)
