Re: [January 2060] H2Ot Water (Solo: Splinter)
Splinter didn't have a mouth to smile with so instead the fragments that made the bulk of Splinter form arranged in to the shape of a :)

"Always... what the team mission ? smash and grab? kidnap the manager responsible for polluting the water? blowing the pipes so they won't pump more poison?" Splinter asked trying, and failing, not to sound like an excited youngster. A real run with real runner, this was it the first step into the elite the first step into Splinter glorious career as a shadowrunner.

Re: [January 2060] H2Ot Water (Solo: Splinter)
"Sounds like they are running some kind of scam to get into the maintenance yard and grab some company gear." she replies, "Here, I'll put them on speaker."

Smiley:

"Ok. Final check.

Grimthak should have hacked the hell out of their systems ahead of time, dropped that decom memo and triggered a brown alert or whatever.

Since we're supposed to be fly by night, and their orders say to leave us the hell alone, they should let us in. The stuff we're stealing is basically junk, and there shouldn't be too much in the spare shack. But they are corporate assholes, so who knows.

Me or Test do the talking. Not sure if you know the score Sack, so if you are some kinda social genius, cool, but

Not that I gotta worry about Twisted saying much.

Hey, Twisted, your gas mask is crooked. There ya go. Yeah, these are expired, they won't protect against shit. Only use is to infiltrate a dump like this or a rave.

Anyway, we got those med waste suits on, so we look just like a disposal crew. I even brought along my geiger counter and some electrical shit that goes beep beep beep from my medical lab. That thing? 30 year old polish ekg reader, busted to shit. Just makes beep beep noises.

I got a legit geiger counter of course. You'd be surprised how many people come in with radiation poisoning. Or maybe not, you know what kinda shit gets dumped in the barrens. Or how much old medical gear is literally hot.

Anyone asks, you say it's proprietary tech. They ask you to sign an NDA, I'll review and you sign it. Remember your name's on your ID's. Not like it's worth the paper it's printed on.

Grim's in our coms. You hear the code "Derp mode" we go hot, loud, and this turns into a smash and grab. This isn't exactly a vital spot, so security should be second-rate. Try and avoid killing any workers, though I can't imagine many would be willing to run in front of shadowrunners for what they are being paid.

Sack stays in the car.

So ka, chummers? We good? Any questions"

"Think we should get back to Access and Site Security Node? Probably our best bet to get them in without a fuss."

Re: [January 2060] H2Ot Water (Solo: Splinter)
It was a good thing that Splinter meat was in a matrix induce comma at this time or it would have jumped out of it's rig smiling and hooting.

Splinter took the string and listened to feed, making sure it was muted "So Grimthak." Splinter said not judging, after all Splinter was also Glitch and when Splinter was younger they took the name Whisker .... Splinter was very young ... like ten but still... it was a dark secret Splinter kept only to themselves.

"You want me to join in or let you handle the comm..." Splinter asked as they moved out of the sunken ship and back to the security nod "We need eyes so we better start by tapping cameras and other sensors. Did you inserted their data ID to the system?"

“We may need to split up, so you better have access to the comms too.” she replies with a sneer, ignoring your light jab. ”Let’s get back to the reef and see if we can get that emergency call into the system”

It’s a quick swim back up into the deck of the wreck, past the gate and into the reef. With the eel IC having swam off to patrol the host, you have the run of the node and can quickly activate the emergency protocol that will help Smiley’s crew get into the maintenance yard.

Re: [January 2060] H2Ot Water (Solo: Splinter)
"Sure thing..." Splinter said as a bit of fragment broke from Anna form and joined into Splinter swirling mess. "I don't want to pose as you, so I think it would be wise if you'll let them know we speak in two voices... I am guessing if I was a runner and someone else would answer my deck comm I would freak out..."

Splinter changed into the surfer avatar again, speed in the matrix was not a matter of form but still it felt faster swimming like a torpedo, like aquaman through the reef and bolting through the gate.

Once outside in the reef Splinter surfer avatar exploded into hundredths of fragments, many of which stuck into the different corals as Splinter sought to get control of the node and activate the emergency protocols needed for Smiley crew.

It was a good thing they raided the treasure trove before, it was full of data like what was the procedures of calls and such. Splinter pulled a memo about emergency situations to hover next to them as they intercepted the call.

Splinter activated the voice algorithm synthesizer, a gruff voice, someone who was bored and stuck in a main office doing a dead end job "Bill Turner speaking."

"Uh, hi Bill, this is Trevor at the Maintenance Yard Access Gate for the East Bay complex. We've got what looks like a decontamination crew here responding to a code brown chemical spill." comes a concerned voice over the line. "Just following the procedures in the new manual and calling in to make sure everything is on the up and up."

"One second, let me check. "
Splinter added the sounds of keyboard typing.

"Hmmm... what's the call number.?  never mind.... holy crap... yeah they are good. Poor bastards, hate to be in their shoes. "

Splinter waited for a couple of seconds before adding "Listen, Trevor you guys be careful out there, keep the doors and windows shut. Those guys are expendable outsource contractors... but you and me are on the same side. "

Re: [January 2060] H2Ot Water (Solo: Splinter)
Travis' muffled can be heard in conversation, presumably with the other guards on the other end of the call in access control station number 2.

"They say to close the windows." comes the muffled voice. "We don't get paid enough for this drek."

Then, speaking back into the phone, Travis adds, "Hey thanks for the help and good advice Bill. Can you log into your report that me and Mark Pepperidge were here in the guard station when this went down? Like, if we grow an extra arm or sumthin' it would help to have a paper trail so the corp insurance jerks don't give us the run around."

More sounds of keyboard typing "Sure thing Travis us little guys need to take care of each other. Just let me know your SIN and employee numbers... just to make thing go faster and smoother."

Splinter made sure to copy the SINs, no idea when it would come useful but a good decker is a decker that planned ahead and kept any free data they got.

Splinter made sure to collected all the information from the guards before turning to Anna.

"You need a wingman or should I make sure we have total control over the facility
 communication network?
" it was the first thing to do, isolate the target so they wouldn't be able to call for backup if things went bad.

Before she can answer, the system flags an incoming call to the phone in the guard shack.

Intercept or merely listen in?

Re: [January 2060] H2Ot Water (Solo: Splinter)
Splinter had the guards information, Trevor had spoken to Splinter so perhaps it was enough for the voice modulator software to create a similar enough pattern. Splinter pulled the files and intercepted the call. "Yes?"

Splinter tried to analyze the voice, figure out whom this was, if possible to see where the call came from "This is the security hut.... whom are you looking for?" Splinter added a tiny bit of annoyance to the bored security drone voice.

"You are not following the Shiawase policy for telephone greetings," he says with a long, frustrated sigh. "That seems like a trend in this damn plant. This is junior operations manager Bill Turner, to whom am I speaking? Something a little more specific than 'security hut' will do nicely."

There was a second of muted silence that in the distance someone could be heard cursing lightly "Sorry Mr. Turner, this is Trevor from the Maintenance Yard Access Gate for the East Bay complex."

Re: [January 2060] H2Ot Water (Solo: Splinter)
"That's better Trevor." he replies smugly. "OK, so I see a code brown reported in the system, that's not a big issue, so don't you worry about contamination or anything like that. Just a few bad smelling fumes, nothing to get excited about. Now, you just hold down the fort out there and make sure things keep going as normal. Shiawase has an on site response unit on the way over now to assess the situation and see if we need to bring in any specialists. Can you make sure to clear that access road of traffic to get them in?"

Splinter considered their options, they sent a ping to have her alerted.
"ahh...Bill here's the thing..." Splinter added a bit of embarrassment to Trever voice. "See there was this odd smell, ahm we think it was a clogged toilet or something but we got ahm freaked out and we ahm hit the code brown panic button.

"You did WHAT!?" Bill replies, clearly loosing his cool. "Do you know how much an emergency response costs the company? I should contact the pay and benefits department immediately and have them dock your wage. You just better hope that I can stand them down before they get rolling out to your pathetic little maintenance yard. Stay on the line..." he adds, punishing you using one the most heinous and tyrannical tools of the corporate world; the torturous limbo of being 'on hold'...

Looks like the response team is confused. Anna says over the comm. Bunch of guys standing around on phones now, but no telling how long this is gonna stick
