I noticed on Michael’s pocsec thread there are some mage and shaman moves are colored and some are not. I assume the colored names are moves Michael knows? If that’s the case then what are the requirements to learn a new move?

Also would you add the $6k NuYen payment for the last run to the pocsec thread? Let me know when we can learn new skills or other character development in game.

Mr. Johnson - What kind of drone options exist?  Anything I can afford with my ¥2,700k?

Drone(s) would be an excellent addition to our crew! The changes I requested are piddling in comparison. Maybe a few accessories to her Predator and an extra spell or two which are still not offensive in nature.

As I understand it, the green ones are known, the black ones can be learned on a level up, and the red ones cannot be learned at all.

@Pacer - for 1000¥ you can get a Kanmushi (ground drone) or Microskimmer (air drone).

They are small, cheap and almost disposable. Very basic but capable of surveillance or suicide attack.

@Sidewinder - no problem with those spells, just need some time to update the threads.

No worries! And there is no rush whatsoever for the mundane gear requests. Doubly so because none of them are liable to be used in the near future.

Edit: And RL always comes first. After all, Sidewinders are ambush predators that wait for prey to come within striking distance. And a busy GM never does. So Sidewinder will bury herself in the sand and keep her head poking out until RL puts you in range.

PS But neonatal and juvenile Crotalus cerastes have some insane and more active behaviors. So we’re lucky she’s an adult. But I do recommend y’all look it up.

@Mr. Johnson - [Edit] Let me get one Microskimmer (1000¥ for the drone) and two remote cameras (100¥ each) with low-light (100¥), thermal (100¥), and flare protection (100¥) (800¥ for the pair of cameras) (1800¥ spend total).  Correct me if this pricing is wrong.

Ie, if you’ve got the scratch and want to complete the cameras’ visual quadfecta, that’d take ultrasound.

And my chiropteran joke was prolly more “on the nose” than y’all think. A lot of entomophagous bats use ultrasonic echolocation, but vampire bats use infrared sensors on their noses for thermographic vision.

Bat sensory humor! Kills every time!

Edit₁: Just an idea that came to mind. A bit of overkill if you ask me, but could add a more exotic sensor to the cameras.

Edit₂: Maybe even a quinfecta if you include magnification? Damn, this is getting really expensive really quick. Sticking to your guns ain’t a bad idea.

Ultrasound?  Sounds like an awesome upgrade.  Maybe after a successful run I'll have enough scratch to upgrade.

So far the surveillance/comms gear Pacer has:

Radio / Microtransceiver (Encrypted) x 2
Bug scanner (Basic)
Directional mic (Basic)
Binoculars (w/ thermal) [Pacer also has cyber eyes with low-light vision and flare protection, so the binoculars are somewhat basic.
Remote camera (x2) [low-light, thermal, flare protection] [New toys he picked up for this gig]

(These are all in the duffel bag he reveals to you, along with a HK227 submachine gun with sound suppressor).

And now also a Microskimmer flying drone.

Maybe Sidewinder can use some spiritual guidance to help determine where best to deploy these resources?

This got me thinking that the pair could Go Shopping to add subvocal microphones to their microtransceivers. Dunno what Pacer’s funds are like, but barely-audible comms would indubitably come in handy. Though Sidewinder could always snag one for herself for now if Pacer doesn’t have 500¥ lying around. Even one-way subvocalization could help.

Vocal is easy enough to find. Any Big Mart or You Buy It! will have that.

Subvocal will need a roll during downtime. Won’t be impossible, but might come with a complication.
