No, there are multiple adventures happening at the same time in this campaign, with multiple groups playing in different part of the world. While you are playing an adventure, another group may have finished their adventure and may be looking for new recruits to go into some other adventure.

If Rennias is willing to have me along, I'd quest with him again.

And Mere Flights sounds as good as any. We need to return to the Swamp to figure out what's happening with the creature that escaped our clutches the last time we were there... See if there's anything we can do to hunt it down and stop it from creating more of its spawn.

Anyone I've adventured with before so far int his game has an open invitation from Rennias to come adventure with him again. He's gotten along well with everyone so far thankfully.

As Rennias said, always welcome. And being non-aggressive is fine. That's why we have Graden and Rudjam - they're both willing and able to resolve any conflict quickly. I've been known to get involved from time to time, even our combat lightweight Rennias gets stuck in at times... Though his style is more (magical) pushing and shoving than slicing and dicing!!

Rennias has fire bolts When needed, but prefers to facilitate the others so uses push to debuff enemy attack rolls. He has iron hand where he can buff skill ratings for hard fights. I am looking to get more debuffs and buffs over time.

Plus, don't you have a bow you've been successful with so far?? I know we don't have much time to train, but if you need a hand with practice and training that skill I know someone with a hunting lodge and a little skill himself, so plenty of space to do just that...

Seriously though, if we need extra time to train now's the time to ask - especially if we can get a reduction to our daily cost of living!!

I have so many skills I want to improve I may have to not go on an adventure or two in order to develop how I need to!!

I'll be taking at least 1 tenday as well. I have a single free tenday left from the Anathema adventure but I'm gonna save it for later.

I think it is about time to start the informal conversation about Dave Arneson's Day Essay Competition, that has been disputed during the last couple of years.

Don't think dispute is the word... Undersubscribed, possibly, even one sided (I posted them nobody else did).

Perhaps if posts are made privately to prevent a repeat, and more time is given?? I understand that a timescale is necessary, but since we're all still taking holidays, etc, would it be worth posting the task sooner to give more time?? Or .make it less about a personal question and more a creative writing exercise to encourage all players to post??

For example, write a short quest involving your existing character, displaying features skills and abilities you would aim to acquire with the reward from the writing competition...

Well... the Dave Arneson's Day is on the 1st of October, so the timeframe is quite fixed... starting on the 1st of September seems OK to me.
Said that, I'd like to collect some inputs on making it relevant (and hopefully more attractive) for this year.
Ultimately, this campaign is a tribute to Dave Arneson, so for me this little exercise is an important part of the campaign. I'd like to do it as best as I can, with your suggestions :)

Any more comments or proposals on this topic ahead of the 1st of September?

Could you summarise the previous competitions so players have an idea of what has went before??

In practice, as this campaign is a tribute to Dave Arneson and to his Blackmoor campaign (the first fantasy campaign), the competition is about writing an essay on a related topic (to be decided) in exchange for a prize consisting of Experience Points for your characters.
This year I'm still undecided about the topic and I'm open for suggestions :)
