I'm seeing this infrequently this morning, when browsing about various forums, players wanted in particular, but possibly others?

Yeah, its coming in waves. It'll persist for maybe a minute or two. Then things are fine. Then it crops up again.

Maybe some stuff going on with the server still. Though a 500 error is different from the 404 of earlier this week.

I've been seeing it all over the place, not just in the Players Wanted forum. It seems to pop up infrequently, but persistently.

I'm seeing it pretty consistently every few times I try to navigate the various threads.

Could be a memory issue. Maybe something left over from the other day.

I'm just thinking I need to make some large donations to Jase :)

The error seems to have stemmed from "too many files open", most happening on one day (the 29th my time).

I've made some adjustments to increase the number of files the system can juggle at any one time, will see if that helps.  The error had already gone by the time I increased the limit so not sure if that's going to be the fix... time will tell!

I mentioned this on the 404 thread, it happened   the day after the 404 thing, for me?... didn't happen  Yesterday, so   it appears to work.
