DM, would killing the tower people in their sleep be a hit to my alignment? I'm annoyed by their completely legitimate tactics.

Not necessarily, no. It's a valid battle tactic, and you'd be using it against known hostiles. I guess part of it depends on how much Karilla enjoys doing it.

Do we know the rough numbers for the archers remaining on the towers? My decision on Corym's straw poll is based off of that.

Roughly?

* NW Tower: 3. That seemed pretty consistent throughout the fight, and no one really did much to the people in that tower.
* Inner Ward Tower: That one's harder. 4-5? You're pretty sure that Krackor killed at least one, and there was some slacking in the amount of fire, but some of those who stopped shooting might have just retreated from the tower top.

And of course you have no idea whether there are more non-archers in any of the towers, or inside the Inner Ward (that gate was closed).

DM, am I right in thinking that Krackor hadn't managed to collect the net?  I mentioned to do it but unsure if t happened.

Krackor: I just checked, and after the net fell to the ground there wasn't any further mention of it during the battle. So yes, the net is still in the castle grounds.

Hey all, just letting you know that I won't be very active for a while. It's finals week over here in Beijing and I have a lot of tests to give and then grade. Woohoo!

Karilla will follow Corym's lead. If we are going to have fun storming the castle, Karilla will memorize as many invisibility spells as possible. Hopefully, I will be caught up and posting by Wednesday-ish.

The Fourth is nearly upon us and a horde of my family members are descending on Corpus Christi. I am in the midst of grand preparations. 60 pounds of brisket are trimmed, rubbed, and ready for a mesquite smoke bath. I type this as I sit watching a triple batch of cardamom Meyr lemon ice cream spin on my back porch. Once we were held underfoot by the British, but now we serve only our ambitions!  ‘Mercia! Hell yeah!

I think it's because we are not the ones Taxing you any more. The King at the time was ill advised, the Royal Family has done a lot to mend bridges since Queen Victoria, more so under the current Monarchy.

Plus you love Fergie and Princess Diana. Princes William and Harry are so likeable too, hence why Princess Meghan is over here (Shame she's not Canadian), it's a bit like Princess Grace of Monaco (Grace Kelly).
