IC: Dungeon Crawl ClassicsÂ…
I want to run a game of Dungeon Crawl Classics (DCC) in the fully gozno, pulp fantasy, sword-and-sorcery, science-fantasy style it’s designed for. If you’re interested but not familiar with the system, I’ll teach you. If you’ve played any version of D&D you’re 80% of the way there. But, to me, the differences are what makes DCC worth playing. DCC is brutal, dark, and challenging. It’s definitely an old-school game.
This will be an open-world sandbox game that’s entirely player/character-driven. I will play the world, hand out rumors and adventure seeds, and it’s up to the players to pick and choose where they go and what they do. I’ll draw on the wide array of modules published for DCC and decades’ worth of stockpiled game material to populate the world.
The world and tone are heavily influenced by Warhammer Fantasy Role-Play, Robert E. Howard’s Conan, Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Barsoom books, Lovecraft’s horror, and so many others from Appendix N.
All characters will be randomly generated and we will start with a 0-level character funnel.
