Alien RPG: Colonial Marine based campaign

As stated in the subject, just wondering if anyone is even remotely interested in a Colonial Marine campaign using the Free League published, Alien RPG? I've been thumbing through the Colonial Marines Operations Manual and playing Aliens: Fire Team Elite, so I've become inspired to at least try and get something together.

I'm very interested in joining an alien game. I've had the book since it came out but sadly no one to run a game.

Very interested. Military sci-fi is my jam. Are you thinking solely aliens in your Alien game, or are you planning to include rebellious colonists, defective androids, and the like in the mix?

Alien RPG: Colonial Marine based campaign

The following is what I've got written up as part of the 'Game Intro' for the game I've been working on.

I'm going to go with a mix of different missions and situations. It won't be just straight up combat every second post, as I'm hoping to provide role play situations between missions.

Think of this game as something like a cross between a Tom Clancy novel and Aliens, with a frame work based on Mass Effect 2 (a group of people work under the radar to investigate and gather evidence of a grander plot)

Intro as follows:

Brigadier General Regina Hathaway has long suspected that something was amiss when Weyland Yutani began to throw their weight around. Their special requests for USCMC units to deploy on missions that they rarely came back from and little to no evidence of what happened was to be had. After the loss of a platoon of marines during the Hadley's Hope mission, along with an entire Conestoga, the Sulaco, with little to no reasoning behind it, that was the straw that broke the camels back.

Regina pulled some strings, managed to get her hands on some of the UAAC black budget and was able to put together a mission for a group of marines to take up. Their mission was simple, to gather evidence of W-Y wrong doing, of this 'black goo' that was rumored to be found across the colonies, and to finally confirm or deny the existence of the species known as XX-121.

I made a character and played a VERY short bit for a non-marine game. The system seems...interesting.

...Can I hug you?

Seriously, though, I'm 100% down with everything you just wrote.

It's a good, yet flawed, system. I find that it's over reliance on maps and zones is its biggest weakness. But, as long as players are ok using crude MS Paint maps, it's not an impossible hill to climb.

I haven't read the marines manual yet and I'd have to re-familiarize myself with the core book again, but I'd be up for trying it out.

Ok, I'm going to put up a game ad in the "Players Wanted" section.
