[IC] Star Frontiers

I'd like to run a game of Star Frontiers mostly focused around dealing with alien creatures running amok in and around a Frontier boomtown. Any interest?

Sure, I'd be interested, though not sure whether I have enough time to commit to it.

Where you planning on using the Star Frontiers setting or one of your own design?

How about Zebulon's Guide?

You say 'Alien Creatures'... that could easily be a lot of D&D monsters, but there are enough SFRPGs out there that you could have a ready supply of alien creatures... you'd just have to do some conversions.

Would we be freelancers? An organized posse? Or the National Guard?

Yes, I suppose it depends on the players, but just wanted to know what YOU had in mind?

Did you have thoughts on the long-term goal of the characters? For example, if we rid Graxar City and its environs of the rampaging alien creatures, would our reputation get us hired to clear the next city? Or might this be something like Pacific Rim?

Anyway, just trying to get a feel for your idea of the game.

In reply to StarMaster (msg # 2):

It would be the Star Frontiers setting but I wouldn't expect much, if any, of the wider setting to matter. The planets involved wouldn't be any of the ones detailed in any rules. There might be sathar, but it wouldn't necessarily be about them or any canon established for them.

No to Zebulon's Guide.

I haven't wanted to put further effort into the concept until I have enough interest.
