Steam Punk - Dirigibles

Hey folks, just wondering if anyone knows anything about Steam Punk games, specifically games with dirigibles or steam powered vehicles?  I am looking to incorporate some of these elements into one of my games and hoping to find some reference material to help flesh things out.

Steam Punk - Dirigibles

Are you already familiar with some game system, or are you asking for system agnostic/generic information?

In reply to steelsmiter (msg # 2):

I am looking for a game system that uses dirigibles and/or steam powered vehicles with statistics/info that I can convert for my own set of rules.  So far I have pulled bits from Star Frontiers, Boot Hill and GURPS but none of those games cover this particular technology.

You'd think I'd be an expert on the subject, but no.

Spycraft 2.0 is the only game I'm familiar with that has rules for ridig bodies lighter than air vehicles, from memory.

Space 1889, Castle Falkenstein, Call of Cthulhu and some Old West games (Deadlands, I think) are the right genre and era to have rules and stats for such things but I haven't played them in so long I can't swear to it.

Are you looking for comparative stats or specific models of transportation?

Deadlands and Victoriana are two that come to mind.

GURPS "Steampunk" might be what you're looking for. I don't have it, but I'd hazard a guess that there would be *some* rules and guidelines to help you out.

Re: Steam Punk - Dirigibles

GURPS Steampunk lists a Cargo Dirigible and an Aerial Dreadnaught.

Sorcery & Steam lists a Passenger Zeppelin and a Cargo Zeppelin.

OGL Steampunk lists a Cargo Airship and a Passenger Airship.

Currently can't find any stats for one in Space: 1889, other than 200 tons, costs 20,000 pounds, can do 300 miles per day, has a duration of 20 days and uses gasoline in its engines.

Thanks guys, sounds like I am in 'make it up as you go' territory, I held high hopes for GURPS Steampunk, I was able to pull some stuff from GURPS Wild West for other parts of my game but not really what I was hoping for from their Steampunk book.

Re: Steam Punk - Dirigibles

Space: 1889's Ironclads and Etherflyers has more stats but only for German zeppelins because that's the only country making them at that time.

Re: Steam Punk - Dirigibles

It is a bit dated but Rifts world book Australia has some useful dirigibles in it.

Gurps: Vehicles works well if you want the overly detailed version.

There's actually more than just GURPS Steampunk (which has both third and 4th editions), there's also a Vehicles book for 4th subtitled Steampunk Conveyances (that has 5 pages devoted specifically to air vehicles--including dirigibles--but also 13 other pages devoted to other crafts).

Right now I'm on a BESM kick, where I think I'm going to add a level of Flight to the Sailing Ship to represent a Dirigible, and probably use the bus as is for a train car.
