I have not fully committed to the idea, I will see how strong the interest is, but I had a game of ToD fall apart (some time ago now) and I have always wanted to finish it.

I warn you now, I have not played 5e since it came out so I may be rusty. Mostly I play Pathfinder and PF 2e as that is what my players wish to do most, but I have run and played in tons of different systems so I have plenty of experience DMing 20+ years at it.

There would be no real knowledge of the Forgotten Realms needed, as my own knowledge of the setting is small.

The game would be Core only, allowing only stuff from the Players Handbook and Dungeon Master's Guide.

I would be open to the players deciding if Feats would be allowed or not.

I would start the game at level 1 and give the players levels as the adventure dictates instead of using exp.

There will be no maps, so I will do my best to explain things using theater of the mind, and try to manage the tactical part of the game that way. If that just proves to be an untenable position I will look into making some form of line graph that can be put into the text box, doing all I can to avoid maps if I can that is just a lot of work.
