Could such a game work here or would there be too much back & forth required to get the game started?  Would people to stick it out and except the randomness?

Is it's low magic style out of fashion?

I don't know the game but I've seen Microsope, a ton of PbtA games and some super crunchy tactical stuff work here. I suspect that it should be pretty easy to get it to work.

I think with a good group Beyond the Wall would work out well. I think it's mostly just a matter of keeping the back and forth as quick paced as possible at the beginning. And GhostshipBlue is right, all kinds of games work on here, so I'm sure Beyond the Wall would.

I also don't see why it would not work. And I'd play for sure.

Yes, you can type anything into the Game System.  That said, Beyond the Wall is (now) in the list.

The only OSR game I think I would consider joining.

Your main trouble would down, IMO, to finding players who had read Lloyd Alexander, Le Guin, etc., and could RP a character who could fit into one of those books.

We'll see now that "Beyond the Wall" can be searched on.

I'm certainly interested in BtW. Been wanting to try it out and see how the collaborative effort would go here. The only way to know is to give it a shot!

The site Search function works now if there is interest.

The Search function always did work.  The fact that nobody had asked for the system to be added to the list does not mean that it didn't work.

Now, as the OP is suggesting that people use that Search function, I guess that means that the game has been created.
