Many of those that are tired of hiding who and what they are seem to find their way here, where they can live in the open without judgement.
Located a distance away from the Mainland, as the Island comes into view it might be the mountains in the distance that catches the eye first, covered in lush trees, as if standing watch over all that occurs. Yet, the rumors hold a different tale. Not a mention of the mountains themselves, but rather that of the Island herself watching over the town and the inhabitants found therein.
Yet, no further explanation comes, other than mention of strange disappearances from time to time, and how some of the more superstitious claim the Island is to blame, causing them to leave of her own will, often far too suddenly for it to be their own decision. Perhaps that is the case. Perhaps, something else is to blame. Perhaps...they merely didn't tell anyone of their plans.
Many climbing off the ferry often mention the old, run down Keep, the remnants of which stand on a hill overlooking Newcastle. Or, if the timing is right, the Belltower, weathered and beaten by the sea winds and salty air, making it look far older than anything else in town. If asked, many of the Inhabitants will claim odd occurrences when visiting the Keep, stories that send a shiver down their own spine, even though they seem unable to give a full description of anything that occurred, other than the odd sensation of being watched, tales of those who have wandered their way up the hill, determined to discover its secrets, only to not return, or to return entirely changed.
But other than that, the Island holds a friendly population, many of which greet each other and newcomers with a smile and conversation. A small island, where people have learned to live with all manner of walks of life, some far more open about what they are than others. Plenty who have found a "home" unlike any other, where they can walk along the street with tale or horns showing, with vibrant colors and oddities that, anywhere else, would see them run out of town...or worse.
Perhaps the rumors spread around the mainland of a place holding such freedom for a community forced into secrecy elsewhere has led you here. Perhaps a friend on the island spoke of such a place, inviting you to visit. Whatever the reason that set your feet onto that ferry, Welcome!
My hopes for this is to give people a place to play characters they have ideas for that might not fit in other games. The plot will be driven mostly by what you come up with by interacting with each other, but the GMs reserve the right to shake things up a bit as they see fit by throwing random plot points at people.

Finally finishing up a major plot and getting ready to jump into a brand new day. We have plenty of openings for non-overpowered characters, so if you're interested, send an RTJ!
