PCs needed for character development semi-sandbox
This game is (re)born of the PCs' goals and backgrounds. I have no plot to speak of, and would like PC input on nemesis, missing loved ones, and organizations they're a part of. This will form the foundation of the game.
The game will largely make milestones non-existent, while at the same time make daily powers almost as reliable as encounters.
We'll be starting at 1st level, but will climb as far as I have patience to get you. After two or three combats (to a section) we'll skip one to three in game years and I may take a RL hiatus.
If you level (which you may not) that I think the chance of it happening again is very likely. The idea is for me to see glimpse of characters at various levels. Which I know is sort of silly, but it helps me learn and understand. I'm still relatively new to 4.0. I'bve never finished a tier (though I've GMed a few levels of each)
Every book and dragon magazine is allowed. Unless another player complains about your character, I certainly won't. This a chance to experiment in a less demanding game. If the WotC source exists, you can use it (except for classless monsters--though I don't see why anyone would want to do that in this theme of game)
Because we'll be leveling often (hopefully), I'll have ridiculously large hoards of magic items and treasure. It will be parceled out over the interim of in game time, it'll still be a lot at once though.
Still, roleplaying and character development is key. Especially when I'm on RL hiatus and in game years are passing. One of the potential players (from an old version of the game) is very keen on that side of the game. I'm also very keen of dialogue and character development. So I hope it devolve into just a speed run hack'n'slash. I'll probably get fatigued if it does.
