Re: Finished for tonight

GM:
Finished for tonight.  I've posted at least once for every thread that was ready for the GM today.  Priorities tomorrow are Luke and ... well, anyone else who needs me to post.

Have you ever done a personal word count for a month of postings? I wonder if you manage to NaNoWriMo every month by accident... It wouldn't shock me.

Re: Finished for tonight

Finished for tonight -- have posted for all the threads ready for me (though I acknowledge I punted a bit by asking Aisha for clarification on an OOC point ...)  No particular priorities for tomorrow, just whoever is ready and that I can get to.

I don't think we have the ways and means to "survive" such an occasion... especially if "out-of-towners" show up for "shopping" as well.

Black Friday = Shopping with weapons.  Think of a bunch of barbarian women with swords and axes.  Low to the unarmed weakling trying to take their sale item.

It would definitely make it much more interesting.

Get me a chainmail bikini for Liss? I'm working on my Christmas list.

In reply to Mobley Oribarak (msg # 714):

Barbarism?   Nay!  It is the pious idealism of a true crusade, for she whom has the fire of righteous discount burning within her heart!

Ok, Sure.  Some heathens and infidels will be trampled, maybe disemboweled, before the dust settles.  But they were ignorant, and probably didn't know where to find the really good deals, anyway.

Re: BLACK FRIDAY

We spent most of the day purging things -- the pre-holiday "get rid of shit we don't use anymore."  Freecycle is my friend.  Dozens of DVDs, several hundred CDs, six bags of clothes, two vacuum cleaners, and a bin of the few remaining toys we have that are appropriate for a 4-year-old.

Efforts to offer the Boy's loft/trundle bed system to friends or family have yet to yield someone willing to come over to take the damned thing apart and help getting it down the stairs.  Anyone need one?

Re: BLACK FRIDAY

Okay, as I am an old man, well I guess you could say old souled man, but anyway, I'm nervous about what to do with the wiki. I mean, can I break it? How do I change/add things. I've did my first wiki change with the Marvel Avengers thing one time, but it looked like it either got deleted or redone shortly there after so I don't know if I even did it right.

Re: BLACK FRIDAY

What are you looking to do?

The Wiki has version controls, so if you were to end up deleting something, it is possible to revert back to a prior version.

Re: BLACK FRIDAY

I don't see a wiki link for either of your games; and win I type the link in manually, it says you haven't created it yet for either of them.

From the main page, click the "create it" link.  That will open up the editing pane where you can enter whatever text you want (formatting options are similar -- though not 100% identical -- with what you can use in rpol games.  You create a link to another page by typing

[[PageName]]

and then hit save.  You'll see there is a link where you typed that.  Click that and it generate the page, with another option to actually "create it."  Wash, rinse, repeat.

If you want to change what displays in the link, type:

[[PageName | DisplayText]]

Does this help, or is it even more hopelessly confusing?

Re: Finished for tonight

No that makes sense. Two quick questions: One-Why would you need a wiki when you could just make a "Where we've been" thread. Two-Do you want to take this into PM land so as not to fill up your OCC thread?

Anyone else take a look at the Occult Characters playtest?

I find it hilarious that the Kineticist class seems designed to let you play an element Bender.
