Hi it's been quite awhile since I ran a game... I have just been playing... But now I've got my GM juices flowing again and can't remember how to add NPC's. Can someone please message me and explain this to an old g
GMer? Lol

howdy..try this...

 Go to GM  Menu...

'add existing"Create a new character for an existing user

Type in name of character

use drop down for   you ( GM)

add  what groups you what him in...then click to add.

You will see that character on the cast list as  NPC

after that you can  click on  the character's  name, go to the character sheet and Make   the character

No characters yet so it won't let me do that. Brand new spanking game. Only GM character exists.
Now what??

1. GM Menu
   
2. "Edit Characters" (Second from the top left)
   
3. "Add (Existing)" (Third down)
   
4. Select yourself from the drop-down top right.

The "Add (Existing)" doesn't mean existing characters, but (to) existing users - of which there's only one right now: you, the GM :) You'll get taken to a screen with a table, just fill those out following the instructions on that screen. Leaving Tag blank will default them to NPC, as donsr explained.

yeah? it should  have  worked, because i  created  a character in one of my games  to make sure i talked you through it?

Thank you so much I will play around with it and see what I can get to work. If I can get it to work by the end of the day I'm hoping to open it up for apps hope to see you there.

yep..i learned   by clicking on stuff  until it worked?  we arwe on a 'new'  board as of January, i checnged the clor of my board, and   i still am  finding things  that  i wish i would have knew  in 2005!...but its still the best site out there

Yeah I miss that one too, but then again. I miss StoryCrafter too. Now that was the most easiest system to build stories. At one time I had 7 active stories going on. Those were the days lol.
Well I'm gonna post on my friend's game then push buttons until I find the right one. If there's a will there's a way thank you for you help
