It's a great setting, imo.  Vastly underused.

There was a thread for this a few weeks back, with at least three interested players, but no gm.

I'd love to play; any version of d&&, or any other system.  I feel like RM/MERP, Gurps, TOR, would also be good systems on the crunchy side, and things like black sword hack, risus, tri-stat x, and im sure there's a pbta for it, on the less crunchy side.

Solo, trade solos, hero/sidekick, duo, or team games.

I could also work with a gm as a co gm?  I have a ton of ideas.

I would love to be a part of this... as long as the system is good. No D&D (regardless of edition) or clones.

From a PBtA angle there is Free From The Yoke which is built around the players running major factions in a country (like the church, the peasantry, merchants etc.) as well as characters themselves so covers some similar ground to Birthright. Though FFTY run straight is based pretty firmly in slavic mythology/history so would need a bit of a reskinning to work for Birthright. Probably not a huge job though though modelling bloodline powers and the like could be trickier.

Bump.  I should also mention that I think the concepts of regency and domains are central to the setting, so I'd want a game that incorporated those elements.

I am running a solo shadowrun game right now, and honestly i have not read those rules in many a year.  That and i'm not the greatest GM for that kind of scenario, i do not have an easy time attempting to run games with grand political plots.

I feel like you're saying that you are not available for being a solo GM...if I'm wrong, pls let me know?

tbf, I'd prefer a game with a blooded character that had, or was in process of acquiring, a small holding, like a simple motte & bailey on the borderland.  Not grand strategy, not some bonkers D&D combo of half elf, half dwarf half celestial sword cleric casting forked disintegrations at level 1.  A lvl 1 (or 2?) fighter or similar trying to carve out a space on the frontier.  I expect to die.  ;)

I absolutely love Birthright and own all the books, but I don't think I can commit to running it at the moment.
I would love to play however, preferably in its original AD&D 2e version, as I have tried many conversion (most of them my own) and was never able to recapture the feel of it until I tried AD&D 2e again.

Funny, I have had the opposite experience; I think virtually any mechanics can handle the setting.  Obviously some are better than others.
