Looking for a Pathfinder Gestalt Game Set in Planescape
Hey everyone. I'm looking for someone to GM a Pathfinder game (preferably 1st edition), using Gestalt characters and taking place in the Planescape setting (but also branching out into numerous other settings via planewalking). I have a lot of ideas I'd love to pitch to any GM willing to run this, which we could discuss privately.

In terms of gameplay, I'm looking for a great deal of variety over the course of the campaign, ranging from lots of subtle intrigue, mystery/investigation, social maneuvering, clandestine exploits, Mission: Impossible-esque espionage and impromptu shenanigans, to occasional dungeon crawls, wilderness travel, Astral Sea voyages, smaller scale personal dramas, incidental local plots, and episodic detours/side-quests (including adventures in Sigil, the Outlands, gate towns, multiple planes and demi-planes, various prime material worlds, and potentially whole other established settings like Toril, Athas, Ravnica, etc.).

Another thing I'm hoping for is the opportunity to intersperse plenty of scenes that focus on character development, bonding between party members, and other sorts of downtime activities that add some colorful interactions to the campaign (tavern gatherings, campfire chats, leisurely stays in cities and towns, bottle episode style segments that indulge individual characters' personal stories, etc.).

Would this interest anyone?

I've always wanted to run a Planescape game and could never get them off the ground.
And I always like Gestalt.
Feel free to pitch all your ideas to me.

It appears we are again looking for a GM to run this game for us. Anyone interested?

Looking for a Pathfinder Gestalt Game Set in Planescape
Checking back in to see if anyone else would be interested in running or playing in a game like this. We have three active players (including myself) with characters who have formed a kind of research and exploration team (a scholar, an archivist, and a librarian). Our previous GM had set up an NPC who was to be our initial patron, and we had put some ideas together for some adventures and story arcs. Hope to find someone interested in continuing this with us.

Looking for a Pathfinder Gestalt Game Set in Planescape
My situation having stabilized slightly I am once more tentatively interested in playing in such a game. I would also tentatively consider running one, but probably using a custom setting for the central hub, rather than Planescape (I just don't know the Sigil/Planescape setting well enough to confidently use it entire). If that's okay I can look at setting it up, though my posting rate may not be as routine as I'd like.

Well, we were, at least...

So we are once again looking for an interested GM.

Looking for a Pathfinder Gestalt Game Set in Planescape
As of now, there are still four of us looking for a GM to run this for us. However, due to the difficulties we're experiencing with finding an interested GM, we're beginning to consider a possible compromise. Everyone wants to play and no one wants to GM (that's par for the course, isn't it?), so we're discussing an untested idea of mine wherein each of us would split certain GM responsibilities and take charge of running elements related to just one PC's arc, so that we are each effectively a player as well as a partial (1/4th) GM — sharing the burden of GMing equally among us in such a way that no single player will ever know the entire plot or know every PC's secrets. Each of us would have shared control of a "GM" or "Narrator" 'character' in the game which we'd use to make GM posts anonymously, so that it isn't clear who's narrating at any given time (in order to avoid signaling whose character arc our posts relate to).

There are bound to be a lot of issues and challenges involved in running the game this way, many of which I'm sure we'd only discover mid-way through playing. But we're discussing it together and will be working out how we'd deal with various sorts of potential problems and scenarios that could complicate the process for us. As such, I'm sure we'd welcome more players to play, assume specific GM responsibilities, and participate in our discussion about how to manage this unconventional approach.

I'd be down with getting in on that. It's basically how my home game runs ArM5.
