DnD 3.5 Community Based Game

I'd like to play in a game where we are maybe colonists in a new region think the old west USA with the settlers moving in and likely natives not happy including monsters and humanoid races like goblins and orcs.

Characters should cover formal members of a government, skilled private parties, fortune seekers and I'm thinking a starting of 6th level as more prominent people. And have perks to go off and take the risk land, a shop, mining rights, bounties for goblin or orc scalps and government titles with rights and a salary or well benefits. I'm thinking a fortified somewhat community village could be going up in a 'clear' and 'safer' area with farms and a nice sized river to move goods on. A cavalry fort in the area with troops and a few mages to patrol and deal with things but well one must still be ready to defend oneself and others.

Well that kind of thing and a GM not all that choosy if the PC is decent for the setting.

How about having a level 6 (possibly higher) character as a primary character, they are sent or choose to go to the colony to act as a leader or major influence in the settlement.

Then create one or two minor characters of lower level. Primary character rarely, if ever, goes on quests so is responsible for the colony and major decisions. Secondary characters can be sent on missions. Then depending on the players and the available quests they've decided on, quests can be resolved automatically or action can be zoomed in and the players can play the secondary characters through the quest itself.

Gives players the chance to create a number of personalities within the colony who can be called upon as required. Other characters can be created as and when required, but the majority would be basic level 1 NPC classes, with only a smaller number of main rulebook classes.

Hows this sound??

I won't play multiple characters I like deeper role-playing and planned to just there due to the opportunity presented like happened in real history.

I'd be interested in playing and maybe even GMing it if no one else comes forward.

DnD 3.5 Community Based Game

GAME LINK: link to another game
NOTE: Per the RPOL Forum Rules this is an Adult rated game.

It is classified as Adult. This is not because there's going to be any explicit sex. Trust me; there are better written sex scenes out there than anything you're going to manage and I REALLY doubt that you have anything truly new to say on the subject. If it comes to that, just note it and move on. It's rated Adult because this is a d20 world, and thus offers occasional gratuitous violence and massive imbalances of personal power. People have a regrettable tendency to treat those weaker than themselves as victims or property - and so slavery is common in several of the major societies of Atheria. I'm counting that as an "adult theme".

Game Intro:
Atheria is not a world for men, but merely a place of refuge.
It's ways are old beyond measure, the presence of men yet young upon it.
It's magic runs it's own way, it's depths beyond men's mastery.
In each great domain one power holds sway, binding with each new life.
A Birthright that shapes the region, and the life within it, in it's own image.
The realms of Order, of the Sun, of Blood and Shadow, of Life - and of Death.
Men trespass upon antiquity, challenging the order of things.
They press beyond the ancient boundaries, seek to shape the world to their will.
What course shall you set? What legacy shall you leave?

Atheria is an Eclipse d20 3.5 sandbox setting focusing on the (re-) colonization of a recently depopulated region with a starting level of four. Characters are expected to be trying to establish their own domains and may be working together or be working independently. As it is using Eclipse characters may start off using classes from almost any sourcebook. They can usually be fit in pretty readily.

Race is generally restricted to Humans with Atherian Birthrights - although that covers a rather wide variety of racial types. The vast majority of Templates and other races are not available.
