I greatly enjoy playing a solo game where I would control multiple PCs and can really put focus on their interactions. Things like inter-party conflicts, coming up with complicated battle plans or just deciding on what to do next is a lot easier on play-by-post when one person can ultimately decide the direction and focus on the reaction of the characters.
For those curious I have done this several times unfortunately most of the games died out after a year or two so I can link to inactive games to show how from a GM perspective it plays out like having 4-6 players but real progress can be made as the game doesn't stall and die every time the party has to make a decision or there is complicated party conversations happening.
NOTE: Published adventures or home brew or sandboxes are all welcome!
Systems I would like to play
- Star Wars FFG (any flavor)
- Pathfinder
- Star Trek Adventures
- Travelers (any flavor/system)
- The Expanse
- D&D 5e
- White Wolf (any flavor/system)
- Shadowrun
- Battletech (any)
- Mutants & Masterminds (any)
- Firefly (any)
- GURPS (any)
So if you're looking for an easier game to run or have been burned in the past by having players mysteriously vanish or get bogged down by player conflicts or have a game stall as soon as the party has to make a decision then consider this as a possible alternative.
In general I enjoy playing small tight knit groups of mercenaries in varying flavors. Depending on the system they might be adventurers, rogue traders, space pirates etc. but I am very flexible when it comes to systems and settings and stories.
