I am looking for a game. (DND 3.5)

I am looking for a dnd3.5 game.

I want a large world where anything can happen. I want to be challenged.

I want magic and wonder...I want to step into a character and expect to be able to have an effect on the world be it good or bad.

Home brew rules are fine...as long as it is dnd 3.5...(not "based" on DND 3.5)

I would even be willing to build gestault...but most of my ideas would take some modification to accommodate that

I like to play...
...Mages (illusion, evoke, conjuration)
...ranged fighters
...healers (big plus if fighting undead)
...crafter builds. (Party discount)
...psionic
...nothing below level 5

I like to take one class and role play it as another.

Vanilla rogue...(phb 1) single book build..."I am a cleric, just not like you have ever seen before."

I build characters to fit the game so tell me what you need me to build...and the limits that exist (books, roleplay, geopolitical, geosocial).

i have gotten some a few interested parties.

my characters are not built to run around solo they are good at what they do. but with out a support system they are basically useless.

also i realize that some if not most of you have been burned by the max min community.
...but as an example if i build a barbarian with a 4 cha..that is not because cha is a dump stat it is because i realize the problem it will cause in social situations...meaning i need a party face to be the buffer in those situations...just like my barbarian will be the buffer when he face tanks the incoming fireball with the barbarians 22 con, to protect the caster.

when i ...max/min...i seek to play it as ....max/max....

i maximize my strengths i will not deny that, but i also maximize my weaknesses.
so please dont assume (max/min)-ing is happening without asking what impact a certain minimized score or class/racial feature will have on my role play...because you might just find a heap of "story fuel" if you ask.

the sharpest sword is useless with out a hand and arm to swing it...in the same spirit my characters are designed to be part of a team...a team that is far to multi skilled for me to run more then one character (or two very similar ones)

my characters also make for complex villains that can challenge a party tactically, intellectually, and often morally.

My builds are mechanics based meaning the game mechanics defign what they are terrible at and what they are good at. And no amount of role play can cover a weakness. Especially if I designed him to have a weakness.

My illusionist is good with illusions but is still bound to the limit of spells.

For example silent image all the way to major image movement does not mean animation. Movement as defigned by those spells is right/left, up/down, and rotation.

Animation is exclusive to one spell...a spell that can not be altered at all once cast.

His illusions are based on the premise that disbelieved does not mean dispelled.

Clouds of fog to obscure vision
the image of a pool of ink..to hide a real bear trap...to divert the target the other direction...into an ambush.

He is a master of diversions because like and mage he is not meant to be in the middle of combat...so he makes it hard to even know where he is at.

I played him for a year...the only time he got hit...he died...and the lvl 14 cleric did not have the spell capable of raising him from the dead.

i have no problem telling a gm exactly how to kill off my characters, because sometimes the story requires some tragedy to make the story better.
