How do I start this? So, I read your post and almost immediately dismissed is as something that's just not my cup of tea, but last night I found myself thinking about it as I lay my head to rest, which is a first for me.

My dilemma is that I'm interested in how your character's story would play out, but I'm not sure I have the chops - the mental software - to do a story like this justice.

If you're really desperate to see this concept done, then hit me up and I'll do my best as the GM for your solo game. I'm pretty sure I've read over a Big Eyes Small Mouths rulebook at some point, but I'm much more familiar with FATE than anything else.

Whatever you choose, I'd still be interested in at least spectating your game, so if you do find someone then I'd appreciate a link to the forum so I can watch.

As far as I can see it, it's all sociopathic killing and then rubbing together with a sociopathic mum figure. But I have the feeling that's not all what you look for with her. Or, is it?

I don't know why but a couple of scenes come to mind from TV on this. Dollhouse(general theme), The Boys(Twisted relationship between Homelander and his handler), Teen Titans Go(for the cyborg aspect/superhero), and Alias(Morality of it all)...that being said I am totally unfamiliar with all of those systems. Small set that I never got around to. So what at this point I am saying is let me see about digging up a couple of them and I will get back to you. In the end it would be more role-playing than Rollplay anyway so the system is less important than it might seem.

 Alright was able to get BESM only issue I see is me having the time to learn a new system. It seems that they have a race that is perfect for your concept and a few other things basically read yo slot this into. If I can find the time to learn the system I will run it. Granted your android has to be at least 18 years old. Since to have the right tone from what I can see requires an adult rating.

I'm a little curious why, being equally unfamiliar with all the systems I mentioned, you went with BESM when M&M is the one I've got statted out and ready to go. M&M has a lot better brand recognition too, which makes the effort you put into it less likely to be wasted. Also, "race?" BESM doesn't have races. It has templates but those are for the Anime Multiverse setting which I sincerely doubt we'd be using.

Not that I don't love BESM 3e, of course! I'll start a conversion now. It's been a while since I last touched the system but it shouldn't take long.

I hate to break character but I have to ask; why has it been so difficult to find a GM interested in winding up a doting yandere and setting her loose in scary-cute fashion? I have been on the market for years now and we've had maybe two games which did not even last a full scene. Most of the people who reply in this thread, I never hear from again. I would have thought that a solo-or-small-group game for a loving, licentious, frille fatale sidekick would be an easy sell.

What does a villainous mommy look for in an adopted girl that I'm not providing? Let's talk about it!

I think in all honesty, you're having difficulty because it is much more fun to watch a yandere assassin being a yandere assassin than it is to GM a yandere assassin's mommy manipulating said yandere assassin.  I think what's happening is someone going "Oh, cool, love watching these sorts of anime, how hard can it be to GM this?" and finding out that it... causes a few awkward feelings that they cannot parse or deal with.

It honestly depends on the person, I think.

I believe the issue may lie with the choice of RPG mechanics.  Reading the stories, especially the second one, gives me a Cyberpunk and Shadowrun feel.  Cybernetics and corporate power are two hallmarks of the cyberpunk genre, and while it is possible for the super hero genre to blend parts of cyberpunk into itself, what you're asking for doesn't feel like it fits into the superhero genre.

And while I don't have any issues with the premise of the game, it may be that others are not as comfortable with it.  This isn't a condemnation of them or the premise, just a statement of fact.

Mutants & Masterminds is a generic system that doesn't just have to run superhero stuff. It's an effects-based system, and after I first experienced effects-based systems with Tri-Stat some years ago I cannot imagine ever being able to go back to class-based play. The ability to just say "hey, I want to have a poisonous kiss" and then be able to construct that, instead of having to pour over countless splatbooks and third-party material and playing mommy-may-I with the GM over what references they're willing to use is... it's amazing. I hate shopping for equipment, spending advancement on stuff that doesn't actually correspond to my vision of a character, and having to be minimum level 17 to use the one feature out of a class I actually want. That's engaging in video games, but not in tabletop (not for me, anyway).

That's my reasoning for liking M&M. Maybe Shadowpunk and Cyberrun have more out-of-the-box flavor for some specific character type, but if we want to mix it up and throw a bone-fide magical girl into the plot because we're completely deranged then we're kinda screwed. That's why I like generic systems; they can run anything we can imagine without so much as a hiccup.

Maybe that explanation will clarify things for the people reading? I hope so! Any other issues you think might be keeping people away?

The more recent one, we got through an opening scene about evading capture from a mercenary commando team and then got to the intimate first scene with Mommy. Then, right after complimenting me for weaving eroticism and seriousness together so effortlessly in my prose, the GM started making the usual noises about real life and changing jobs and not being able to commit energy to the game anymore. I checked in after a little under a year to see if their situation had settled, they said they'd love to pick things back up and made a Discord server that they proceeded to never ever log into again. I haven't been able to get a reply out of them since.

The more distant one... I don't remember the details, it was so long ago. I can't find it again, either. I could have just dreamed it, or I might be accidentally conflating it with a Pokemon game where I played an early version of the character before I had quite figured out what I wanted to do with her.

There have been maybe eight people who sent me messages, but for one reason or another no games actually emerged from those discussions. One was just fine with the murder and torture and codependent pseudo-incestuous romance but drew the line at being transfemme as being too immoral for them. Two of them wanted me to convert my concept to a vampire... uhm, no, I like being alive and having a heartbeat and rampaging hormones and not being a ravenous inhuman undead monster that cheapens the very human nature of evil. Only maybe twice was our inability to agree on a game system the reason why we couldn't hash something out.
